Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a recipient user equipment (UE) of a sidelink resource sharing system may receive, from a plurality of provider UEs, resource information associated with the plurality of provider UEs; select, based at least in part on a ranked order and the resource information, one or more resources associated with one or more selected UEs, of the plurality of provider UEs, wherein the ranked order is based at least in part on measurement information, determined by the recipient UE, associated with the plurality of provider UEs; and perform a sidelink communication using the one or more resources. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to another UE, a positioning request associated with a procedure for determining a position of the UE, wherein the positioning request comprises a sidelink communication between a first sidelink location management component (S-LMC) of the UE and a second S-LMC of the other UE, wherein the first S-LMC and the second S-LMC comprise sub-functions associated with a vehicle-to-everything protocol layer; and receive a positioning report associated with the procedure for determining the position of the UE, wherein the positioning report comprises an indication of the position of the UE based at least in part on a determination by a sidelink location management function. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A positioning method includes: establishing a positioning session between a plurality of positioning devices including a first positioning device and a second positioning device; obtaining line-of-sight/non-line-of-sight status (LOS/NLOS status) for a plurality of positioning device pairs, each being a pair of the plurality of positioning devices; and transmitting a disable message to the first positioning device based on the LOS/NLOS status of at least one of the first positioning device or the second positioning device being non-line-of-sight relative to at least a subset of the plurality of positioning devices, the disable message indicating to disable at least one of transmission of one or more first positioning reference signals from the first positioning device or measurement of one or more second positioning reference signals from the second positioning device by the first positioning device.

Abstract: A responder user equipment (UE) in separate ranging sessions may determine whether there is a collision between the ranging signals assigned to broadcast in the separate ranging sessions. A collision in the ranging signals is detected when the ranging signals have the same frequencies and broadcast times, e.g., the broadcast time of one ranging signal is within a predetermined amount of time for the other ranging signal. When a collision in the ranging signals is detected, the responder UE sends a message to the initiator UE indicating the possibility of a collision. Available times for broadcasting the ranging signals may be determined, e.g., by the responder UE or the initiator UE. The initiator UE may initiate a new ranging session based on the available times for broadcasting the ranging signal or may proceed with the ranging session with the possibility that the responder UE will not participate.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may receive a first set of ranging measurements based at least in part on a first one or more positioning reference signals communicated over a sidelink between a pedestrian user equipment (P-UE) and a vehicle UE (V-UE). The network node may receive a second set of ranging measurements based at least in part on a second one or more positioning reference signals communicated over an access link between the P-UE and one or more base stations. The network node may transmit, to the P-UE, an estimated position of the P-UE. For example, in some aspects, the estimated position of the P-UE may be based at least in part on the first set of ranging measurements and the second set of ranging measurements. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A target user equipment (UE), which may be a vehicle or UE carried by a pedestrian, may receive sequentially broadcast ranging signals from a set of ranging source entities (SEs), which may be road side units or other vehicles. The target UE further receives location information separately broadcast by each SEs. The location information, for example, may include the position for the SE, the time of transmission of the ranging signals transmitted by the SE and/or a sequence identifier for the SE. The target UE may determine ranges to the SEs using time of arrival measurements for the ranging signals and the time of transmissions of the ranging signals or the sequence identifier received in the location information. The position of the target UE may be determined using the determined ranges to the SEs and the positions of the SEs received in the location information.
