摘要: Disclosed are techniques for wireless positioning. In an aspect, a network node receives assistance data from a location server, the assistance data including at least a configuration of at least a first number of samples of a plurality of instances of a positioning reference signal (PRS) resource of a PRS resource set to use to determine at least one positioning measurement of the PRS resource for a positioning session, performs the at least one positioning measurement using a second number of samples of the plurality of instances of the PRS resource, and transmits a measurement report to the location server, the measurement report including at least the at least one positioning measurement and the second number of samples.

摘要: A first client station receives from an access point an indication of whether angular information is to be included in feedback information in a range measurement session. The first client station transmits a null data packet (NDP) as part of an uplink multi-user (MU) PHY transmission that also includes simultaneous transmissions by one or more second client stations of one or more other respective NDPs to the access point as part of the range measurement session. The first client station receives a downlink physical layer (PHY) data unit from the access point that includes respective downlink feedback frames for the first client station and the one or more second client stations. When angular information is to be included in the feedback, a downlink feedback frame for the first client station includes angular information.

摘要: Systems and methods of a wireless communications system using signals not traditionally used for positioning purposes for positioning measurements in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a UE capability information message indicating one or more signal types that the LE can process for DL positioning measurements and/or that the UE can send for UL positioning measurements. The one or more signal types so indicated may include signals not traditionally used for positioning measurements. The UE may send, to the base station, the UE capability information message. The wireless communications system may then configure the base station and/or the UE to use such signal types with one or more positioning methods. In some embodiments, the base station may also indicate to the UE a subset of signals of an indicated type which should be processed for DL measurements/sent for UL measurements.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods and apparatuses for improving positioning of a device in a wireless communications network. In some embodiments, a method performed by a measuring device configured to communicate with a positioning device, comprises: determining a cross-correlation between a received signal and a transmitted reference signal; determining a channel impulse response (CIR) of the cross-correlation related to a first lobe detected above a selected threshold in said CIR; and reporting information on a truncated part of the CIR around the first lobe to the positioning device for enabling the positioning device to correct or estimate a measurement related to a distance between a transmitter and the measuring device and/or a distance between at least one reflecting cluster and the measuring device.

摘要: A mobile station performs Observed Time Difference of Arrival (OTDOA) positioning by measuring a time of arrival (TOA) of downlink signals transmitted from a reference cell and one or more neighbor cells. Reference Signal Time Differences (RSTDs) are generated using TOA measurements from the reference cell and each neighbor cell. The mobile station reports to a location server location information, including the RSTD measurements and the times of measurement for the TOA measurements. The mobile station may further generate and report additional RSTD and/or TOA measurements and associated times of measurement for the reference cell and/or neighbor cells. A location server may use the RSTD measurements, the times of measurement and any TOA measurements to determine a position of the mobile station taking into account user motion and base station clock drift and/or may adjust the uncertainty of the resulting position.

摘要: An anchor UE may move or have a low transmission power and impact the accuracy of positioning estimates of a target UE based on measurements of the PRSs associated with the anchor UE. One or more candidate anchor UEs may be selected or excluded from being used for positioning based on one or more of a measurement quality metric of a position measurement of a candidate anchor UE, a mobility status of the candidate anchor UE, or a GDOP associated with the candidate anchor UE. A mobility status of the candidate anchor UE may be derived from reported positions of the candidate anchor UE or obtained from the candidate anchor UE. A UE selected as an anchor UE is used for positioning of a target UE, and a UE downselected from being an anchor UE is excluded from use for positioning of the target UE.
