Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for wireless communication. A user equipment (UE) may acquire a triggering synchronization signal block (SSB), which enables the UE to monitor for a floating Type-2 physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and to determine a subset of paging occasions (POs) to monitor. Or, the UE may monitor for a fixed Type-2 PDCCH, where the UE does not require a triggering signal to monitors POs. In another aspect, the UE may monitor for a paging transmission during a monitoring period. The UE may determine the monitoring period based on received signaling. The UE may receive the signaling, during the monitoring period, indicating that the monitoring period is to be ended before a scheduled end of the monitoring period. In this way, the UE may support a continuity requirement associated with downlink reference signaling (DRS) and may support reception of paging in a shared channel.

The method further includes starting or restarting a discontinuous reception (DRX) HARQ round trip time (RTT) timer for one of the multiple HARQ processes based at least on satisfying a condition, after transmitting the one shot HARQ feedback.

In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a second UE associated with a sidelink connection with the first UE, assistance information indicating at least part of a first discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration for a radio access link between the first UE and a base station. The UE may receive at least part of a sidelink DRX configuration for the sidelink connection, wherein an on duration of the sidelink DRX configuration is not aligned with an on duration of the first DRX configuration. Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for handling acknowledgement and retransmission timers during sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) communication. An example method by a transmitter user equipment (UE) generally includes transmitting a first repetition of a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) to a receiver UE prior to entering an inactive state, while the transmitter UE is operating in a sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) mode; returning to an active state to monitor for acknowledgment feedback from the receiver UE, wherein the return is based on a first timer relative to an end of the first repetition of the PSSCH; remaining in the active state for a duration defined by a second timer; and taking one or more actions depending on whether the transmitter UE receives acknowledgment feedback during the duration indicating failed reception of the first repetition of the PSSCH by the receiver UE.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for assigning one or more user equipments (UEs) at one or more corresponding starting positions of multiple slots to perform channel access procedures, such as listen before talk (LBT) procedures in New Radio unlicensed band (NR-U) sidelink communications. The network entity may indicate, to a UE, a starting position in a multi-opportunity grant (e.g., a DCI scheduling multiple slots). The network entity may multiplex different transmitter UEs with different starting positions. If the channel accessing procedure is successful, the transmitter UE with the earliest starting position than the rest may block the rest of the transmitter UEs. In some cases, starting position hopping may be used so that the multiple UEs may have different priority at different slots. In some cases, the DCI may include LBT parameters that are inherited from NR-U uplink transmission configurations.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to sidelink transmissions. In an example, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a first sidelink grant for a transmission between the first UE and a second UE; communicate the transmission according to the first sidelink grant to the second UE; determine initiation of a sidelink round trip timer subsequent to communicating the transmission to the second UE; and initiate an inactive mode for the first UE based on a second grant not being received from the network entity before completion of a duration of a sidelink retransmission timer that was initiated upon completion of a duration of the sidelink round trip timer, the first UE being configured out of an ON duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, and an inactivity timer expiring before completion of the duration of the sidelink retransmission timer.
