摘要: A process for fabricating electrophotographic imaging members including providing an imaging member including a substrate coated with a charge generating layer having an exposed surface, applying a first solution including a charge transporting small molecule and film forming binder to the exposed surface to form a first charge transporting layer having a thickness of greater than about 13 micrometers and less than about 20 micrometers in the dried state and an exposed surface, and applying at least a second solution having a composition substantially identical to the first solution to the exposed surface of the first charge transporting layer to form at least a second continuous charge transporting layer, the at least second charge transporting layer having a thickness in the dried state less than about 20 micrometers in the dried state, the at least second charge transporting layer, and any subsequent applied solution having a composition substantially identical to the first solution.

摘要: A manufacturing system including: (a) a vessel for holding a liquid; (b) a first member and a second member, each having a flat surface, wherein the flat surface of the first member faces and is spaced from the flat surface of the second member, thereby defining a gap region between the two flat surfaces, wherein a section of the first member is transparent through the thickness of the first member; (c) a liquid delivery system connected to the vessel and the gap region which delivers the liquid to the gap region and the liquid flows in the gap region in view of the transparent section of the first member; (d) a camera positioned to view through the transparent section of the first member; (e) image processing means coupled to the camera for determining the homogeneity of the liquid in the gap region; and (f) liquid dispensing equipment connected to the liquid delivery system.

摘要: Embodiments relate generally to an imaging member that facilitates removal of the imaging member coating layers disposed over the imaging member and environmentally or “green” methods for using the same. More specifically, the present embodiments disclose an electrophotographic photoreceptor that includes a specifically formulated undercoat layer that allows easy removal of the photoreceptor layers disposed on top of the undercoat layer. The present embodiments provide a simple yet efficient method for reclaiming recycling or remanufacturing electrophotographic photoreceptors.

摘要: A photoreceptor comprising a charge transport layer doped with a polyarylate polymer is provided. A charge transport layer is doped with about 0.1 to about 10.0% by weight, solids basis, of a polyarylate polymer, such as for example Ardel. Charge transport layers doped with a polyarylate polymer exhibit improved electrical performance in terms of lower Vr and VBG values.
