摘要: Provided is a process cartridge being detachably attachable onto a main body of an electrophotographic apparatus. The process cartridge includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member, a developing roller, and a toner-supplying roller. The developing roller and the toner-supplying roller are rotated so as to satisfy a particular velocity ratio so that the surface of the developing roller and the surface of the toner-supplying roller are opposite to each other at a contact position therebetween. The surface of the developing roller is a surface of an elastic layer, and the toner-supplying roller includes a shaft body and a resin layer formed on an outer peripheral surface of the shaft body. The electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a surface layer containing a polyarylate resin including a structural unit represented by the following formula (A1) and a structural unit represented by the following formula (A2).

摘要: An electrophotographic photosensitive member includes a conductive substrate, an intermediate layer provided on the conductive substrate, and a photosensitive layer provided on the intermediate layer. The intermediate layer contains a specific polyamide resin and specific inorganic particles. The specific inorganic particles each include a metal oxide particle and a surface treatment layer covering at least a part of the surface of the metal oxide particle. The surface treatment layers contain a component derived from an organic siloxane compound and at least one of aluminum oxide and silica. The specific polyamide resin includes a first repeating unit derived from an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid with a carbon number of at least 8 and no greater than 20 and a second repeating unit derived from a diamine compound with a cycloalkane structure.

摘要: The present invention provides an electrophotographic photosensitive member including a support, and a photosensitive layer on the support. The photosensitive layer has a charge generating layer containing a charge generating material and a charge transporting layer containing a charge transporting material, in this order. The charge transporting layer contains (α) a specific polycarbonate resin or a specific polyester resin, (β) the charge transporting material, (γ) a methoxybenzene, and (δ) a methoxybenzene, a methoxycyclohexane or a methylhexanol having a substituent. The content Wδ of the (δ) is 0.001% by mass or more and 1% by mass or less based on the total mass of the charge transporting layer.

摘要: The invention is to provide an image forming apparatus and an electrophotographic cartridge, which are free from problems of cleaning failure, filming, soiling, residual images (ghosts), fogging, density reduction, noise and the like and which can provide high-definition images even when a toner having a small particle size and having a high degree of circularity is used and even when a photoreceptor having a small outer diameter is used. An image forming apparatus comprising: an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing a conductive support and a photosensitive layer on the conductive support, a charging unit for charging the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an imagewise exposing unit for imagewise exposing the charged electrophotographic photoreceptor to form an electrostatic latent image thereon, a developing unit for developing the electrostatic latent image with a toner, and a transferring unit for transferring the toner from the electrophotographic photoreceptor to a receiving unit, wherein the outer diameter of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is 20 mm or less, the photosensitive layer contains a polyarylate resin, and the toner satisfies the specific requirements (1) and (2).
