摘要: Disclosed herein is a hot cup sleeve with an adhesive section on the inside of the hot cup sleeve. A detachable tab covers the adhesive section until it is desirable for the adhesive section to couple to the hot cup. The adhesive section is about the size of a thumbprint, and the adhesive section should large enough to cover the adhesive section completely, but should not extend excessively beyond the edge of the adhesive section. The detachable tab extends above the hot cup sleeve.

摘要: Methods, program products and systems for automatically trapping drop shadows. For at least one segment incident to an atomic region which includes a drop shadow, and for each side of the segment, determining a first flattened color of the side's incident atomic region, and if the atomic region includes a drop shadow, additionally determining a second flattened color omitting the color of the drop shadow. An effective neutral density from the side's first flattened color is determined and, if the side has a second flattened color, the side's second flattened color. The two atomic regions incident to the segment are trapped based upon the effective neutral densities for the respective sides.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of determining the presence of an infectious agent in one or more test animals. The method includes providing a cage housing a sentinel animal, the cage including a plurality of inlets to allow flow of air into the cage through each of the inlets; providing a plurality of cages each housing a test animal, each cage including an outlet to allow air to flow from the cage; connecting the plurality of cages each housing a test animal to the cage housing a sentinel animal so as to allow air to flow via the outlet of each cage housing a test animal into the cage housing a sentinel animal via an inlet on the cage housing a sentinel animal; and screening the sentinel animal for infection by the infectious agent after a period of time sufficient for the sentinel animal to be infected from one of the test animals, wherein infection of the sentinel animal is indicative of the presence of the infectious agent in one or more of the test animals.

摘要: An apparatus (10) for initiating and dispensing an incendiary comprises a feed mechanism (12) for advancing a line of series connected incendiaries to a dispensing location D; an injection device (14); and a cutter (16). The injection device (14) injects a substance such as glycol into the incendiary as it is moved toward, but prior to reaching, the dispensing location D. The glycol reacts exothermically with another substance such as potassium permanganate in the incendiary. The cutter (16) cuts the incendiary into which the glycol has been injected from the line of series connected incendiary. After the incendiary has been injected with the glycol and cut by the cutter (16) from the line, the feed mechanism (12) advances the incendiary to the dispensing location D where it is dispensed by the action of gravity from the apparatus (10).

摘要: A feedthrough filter capacitor assembly includes a conductive terminal pin which extends through a first passageway of a capacitor in conductive relation with a first set of electrode plates, and through a conductive ground plane and an insulator in non-conductive relation. The insulator includes ground plates conductively coupled to the ferrule. A second set of electrode plates of the capacitor are conductively coupled to the insulator ground plates, such as by a ground pin extending through the capacitor in relation with the second set of electrode plates, and at least partially extending through a second passageway of the insulator in conductive relation with the ground plates. In this manner, the exterior electrical/mechanical connection between the capacitor and ground plane or other ground member is eliminated.

摘要: A feedthrough terminal assembly for an active implantable medical device (AIMD) includes a plurality of leadwires extending from electronic circuitry of the AIMD, and a lossy ferrite inductor through which the leadwires extend in non-conductive relation for increasing the impedance of the leadwires at selected RF frequencies and reducing magnetic flux core saturation of the lossy ferrite inductor through phase cancellation of signals carried by the leadwires. A process is also provided for filtering electromagnetic interference (EMI) in an implanted leadwire extending from an AIMD into body fluids or tissue, wherein the leadwire is subjected to occasional high-power electromagnetic fields such as those produced by medical diagnostic equipment including magnetic resonance imaging.

摘要: A band stop filter is provided for a lead wire of an active implantable medical device (AIMD). The band stop filter includes a capacitor in parallel with an inductor. The parallel capacitor and inductor are placed in series with the implantable lead wire of the AIMD, wherein values of capacitance and inductance are selected such that the band stop filter is resonant at a selected frequency. The Q of the inductor may be relatively maximized and the Q of the capacitor may be relatively minimized to reduce the overall Q of the band stop filter to attenuate current flow through the implantable lead wire along a range of selected frequencies. In a preferred form, the band stop filter is integrated into a TIP and/or RING electrode for the active implantable medical device.
