摘要： A storage container comprising an outer shell and an insertable drawer member configured and dimensioned for receiving and storing information-bearing discs and accompanying printed matter. The insertable drawer member includes features to store the discs by contacting non-information bearing surfaces thereof as well as means for selectively retrieving the printed matter together with the disc from the outer shell. The drawer includes a top segment and a bottom segment that are hinged together. The bottom segment has outwardly extending flexible side walls with respect to the bottom segment.

摘要： A switched cavity laser system which includes a resonant cavity, a gain medium within the resonant cavity, a cavity switch and an output coupler. A controllable pump energy source delivers pump energy to the gain medium in response to an energy control signal. A detector is coupled with the gain medium and generates a detector signal in response to the amount of population inversion exhibited by the gain medium. A control circuit is coupled to the detector and controllable pump energy source for generating the energy control signal in response to the detector signal. As the switching rate of the Q-switch is varied, the energy control signal varies to ensure a constant level of population inversion between each pulse. In this matter, a prespecified pulse energy is achieved for each pulse independent of the switching rate of the Q-switch.

摘要： There is provided a marker buoy useful to indicate the location of an underwater structure. The buoy is made from a material having a density less than water, including first and second elongated side members and a central portion therebetween. The central portion receives an elongated twine having a weight attached to its far end. Each side member has a stud extending away therefrom at opposing ends of the buoy. The buoy automatically rotates to dispense the twine when the buoy is placed on the surface of water, and is adapted to be manually rotated by manipulation of the studs to retract the twine.

摘要： The present apparatus and method relates in general to sealing a hole in a floor with a precast plug. A precast plug is created by pouring a wet aggregate mix into a form mold and thereafter inserting a pre bent rod into the uncured mixture, positioning it such that the center of the rod rests in the center of the form mold and the ends of the rod extend outward near the top of the form mold. The mix is then cured. The precast plug may then be transported to the hole that it is destined to fix. Grooves may be carved on either side of the hole to accommodate the rod's ends. The interior of the hole and the exterior of the plug may then be covered with a sealant, after which the plug may be inserted into the hole. Once the sealant cures, the hole is fully repaired.

摘要： An apparatus for mounting a component in a computer includes a computer chassis and a mounting bracket assembly attached to the computer chassis. The mounting bracket assembly includes a first structural layer, a second structural layer spaced apart from the first structural layer wherein a gap is defined therebetween, and a layer of damping material disposed in at least a portion of the gap. The mounting bracket assembly is useful in space-sensitive applications while still providing vibration and acoustical noise attenuation. Furthermore, the mounting bracket assembly provides a nominal degree of impact damping during installation of a system component, reducing the potential for impact related failures.
