摘要: A fractional handpiece and systems thereof for skin treatment including a handpiece body including a passively Q-switched laser assembly within the handpiece body operatively connected to a pump laser source to receive a pump laser beam having a first wavelength and a beam scanning system operable to scan a solid beam emitted by the passively Q-switched laser assembly and form a line of micro-beams across a segment of skin. The passively Q-switched laser assembly generates a high-power sub-nanosecond pulsed laser beam having a second wavelength. The pump laser source is a diode laser which emits the first wavelength at about 500 nm to about 1000 nm.

A SWIR imaging system may include a pulsed illumination source operative to emit radiation pulses in the SWIR band towards a target resulting in reflected radiation from the target; (b) an imaging receiver including a plurality of Ge PDs operative to detect the reflected SWIR radiation and a controller, operative to control activation of the receiver for an integration time during which the accumulated dark current noise does not exceed the time independent readout noise.

摘要: Provided is a laser element capable of integrating a plurality of optical elements and inhibiting a standing wave of excitation light or oscillation light. A laser element includes: a laminated semiconductor layer including a first reflection layer and an active layer that performs surface emission at a first wavelength; a laser medium including a second reflection layer on a first surface and a third reflection layer on a second surface; a fourth reflection layer disposed on the rear side of the optical axis with respect to the second surface; a first resonator that causes light of the first wavelength to resonate between the first reflection layer and the third reflection layer; a second resonator that causes light of a second wavelength to resonate between the second reflection layer and the fourth reflection layer; a first polarization conversion element provided between the first reflection layer and the laser medium; a second polarization conversion element provided between the second reflection layer and the laser medium, and at least one of first or second polarization control element provided between the first reflection layer and the fourth reflection layer. The optical axis of the laminated semiconductor layer, an optical axis of the laser medium, and optical axes of the first and second polarization conversion elements and the first or second polarization control element are coaxially arranged.

摘要: A microstructured optical fiber for generating supercontinuum light. The optical fiber includes a core and a cladding region surrounding the core. The optical fiber includes a first fiber length section, a second fiber length section as well as an intermediate fiber length section between said first and second fiber length sections. The first fiber length section has a core with a first characteristic core diameter larger than about 7 μm. The second fiber length section has a core with a second characteristic core diameter, smaller than said first characteristic core diameter. The intermediate length section of the optical fiber includes a core which is tapered from said first characteristic core diameter to the second characteristic core diameter over a tapered length. Also, a supercontinuum light source including an optical fiber and a pump light source.

摘要: The present invention relates to a laser system and a method of generating a defined spatial mode-shaped laser beam using an unstable laser resonator layout. The laser system for mode shaping of a laser beam within an unstable optical resonator layout comprising an active medium, characterized in that, the active media comprises a pumped area, wherein the gain distribution is generated by an optical pump beam's spatially intensity profile.
In a preferred embodiment, the system may further comprise an end-pumped layout to deliver the spatially shaped optical pump beam to the active medium; and/or an active element and/or a passive element for modifying the resonator losses; and/or means of output coupling of a laser beam from said unstable resonator layout.
The system according to the present invention is suitable to deliver a top-hat beam profile.-

摘要: Disclosed is a system and a method for generating high-power laser pulses with very high repetition rate. The laser system includes an oscillator capable of generating a source laser beam including a series of sources pulses with femtosecond or picosecond duration at a first repetition frequency no lower than 800 megahertz and an optical amplifier system suitable for receiving and amplifying the series of source pulses at a second repetition frequency that is equal to or a multiple of the first repetition frequency, the multiple being a non-negative integer greater than or equal to two, so as to generate a series of laser pulses with very high repetition frequency.
