摘要： Described herein is technology for, among other things, a theft deterrent apparatus for cooperation with an elongate member attached to and extending outwardly from a forward-facing side of an article display panel. The apparatus includes a housing defining an internal chamber. The housing includes a first aperture passing through the housing into the internal chamber for receiving the elongate member, a second aperture for receiving a magnetic key, and a locking member that has a magnetic portion and is movably disposed within the internal chamber. The locking member is adapted to selectively: maintain the apparatus in locked and unlocked configurations in which the locking member respectively prevents or permits the elongate member from being at least partially withdrawn from the first aperture. Whether the locking member maintains the apparatus in the locked or unlocked configuration depends on whether or not the magnetic key is inserted into the second aperture.

摘要： A display system for an article, which display system includes an elongate support member with structure for fixedly attaching the elongate support member to a base in a display position. The elongate support member has an entry end which can be directed through an aperture in an article to be displayed so as to allow the article to be displayed to be placed in a display state and slide guidingly lengthwise along the elongate support member. Structure is provided on at least one of the elongate support member and a base on which the elongate support member is fixedly attached in the display position for confining movement of an article to be displayed guidingly along the length of the elongate support member in one direction. A lock member is provided, with there being structure cooperating between the lock member and elongate support member for selectively a) maintaining the lock member in a first locked position wherein the lock member limits movement of an article to be displayed that is in a display state along the elongate support member oppositely to the one direction so that an article to be displayed cannot be separated from the elongate support member by movement in the one direction relative to the elongate support member and b) allowing the lock member to be placed in a second position wherein an article to be displayed can be selectively placed in the display state and separated from the elongate support member.

摘要： A theft-deterring security apparatus for articles with handles is described. The apparatus consists of a bracket that substantially surrounds an article handle and a locking body into which the bracket is telescopically inserted, to in turn compress both the bracket and the locking body about the article handle so as to be releasably fastened thereto. Fastening devices, such as a threaded screw and nut, are used to initiate and maintain compression of the bracket and locking body about the article handle. The bracket is shaped to accommodate different types of article handles. The bracket may be hinged to accommodate the insertion of article handles into the bracket periphery. The apparatus is further equipped with an electronic article surveillance element capable of setting off an alarm if an attempt is made to remove the article from the store. Alternatively, a pair of locking body elements surrounds a knob on an article handle. The locking body elements each include a cavity portion that combine to form cavities within which the knob of an article handle and an electronic article surveillance tag and/or a tethered anchor may be placed.

The sensor is in the secured state when attached to the product and in the unsecured state when detached from the product. The sensor includes an indicator for indicating the state of the sensor. The structure cooperating between the fitting and receiver blocks access to the operating portion of the anchor element with the fitting in the anchored state on the receiver to prevent release of the receiver from the operative position.
