    摘要： A security device for placement about a merchandise item includes a housing, cable and a clip. The housing includes a lock device, a spool for receiving the cable and a ratchet assembly to maintain the cable tightened about the merchandise item. The clip is connected to the cable and is engagable with the housing. The lock device locks the clip to the housing when the clip is attached to the housing and allows the spool to release cable from the housing when the clip is not locked to the housing. When the clip is locked to the housing, the lock device allows ratcheting of cable onto the spool but not unwinding of cable from the spool. The clip contains alarm logic fully contained within the clip configured to generate an alarm if the cable is severed. In some configurations, the alarm logic can transmit/receive wireless messages with a network.

The flexible strap may be rotatably attached to the housing via a strap holding assembly that permits the flexible strap to rotate relative to the housing. The pin lock mechanism may be disposed within the housing to enable the pin to be locked to the housing to attach the security device to an object. The flexible strap may be removable from the housing and may be replaceable without tools.

    摘要： Systems (100) and methods (1000) for operating a Security Tag (“ST”). The methods involve rotating a Rotational Clip (“RC”) of ST (132) towards a Housing Base (“HB”) of ST until RC (406) contacts a latch (610) disposed within HB (404), where an article resides between a first pad (602) fixedly coupled to RC and a second pad (604) movably coupled to HB. An angled surface (626) of RC slides against an angled surface (624) of the latch so as to cause compression of a cap spring (614) and a latch spring (612). The cap spring is disposed in HB such that a center axis (818) thereof is perpendicular to a center axis (816) of the latch spring. When the latch becomes aligned with an aperture (628) formed in the rotational clip, the latch travels into the aperture as result from a pushing force applied thereto by the latch spring.

The end assembly is configured to detect removal of each item of merchandise, wherein the alarm mechanism does not generate an alarming signal when at least a first item of merchandise is removed from the rod, and wherein the alarm mechanism is further configured to generate an alarming signal when a second item of merchandise has been removed from the rod within a predetermined period of time from the first item of merchandise being removed.

    摘要： A magnetic lock and key assembly includes a magnetic lock assembly. The magnetic lock assembly includes a plunger translatable between a locked position and an unlocked position. A detent is extendable when the plunger is in the locked position and retractable when the plunger is in the unlocked position. A lock magnet is translatable with the plunger and has an end defined by a lock magnet north pole and a lock magnet south pole. The magnetic lock and key assembly further includes a magnetic key assembly having a key magnet. The key magnet has an end defined by a key magnet north pole and a key magnet south pole. At least one of the lock magnet and the key magnet is rotatably supported to facilitate automatic magnetic attractive alignment, attraction of the lock magnet toward the key magnet, and translation of the plunger to the unlocked position.
