摘要： A theft-deterring security apparatus for articles with handles is described. The apparatus consists of a bracket that substantially surrounds an article handle and a locking body into which the bracket is telescopically inserted, to in turn compress both the bracket and the locking body about the article handle so as to be releasably fastened thereto. Fastening devices, such as a threaded screw and nut, are used to initiate and maintain compression of the bracket and locking body about the article handle. The bracket is shaped to accommodate different types of article handles. The bracket may be hinged to accommodate the insertion of article handles into the bracket periphery. The apparatus is further equipped with an electronic article surveillance element capable of setting off an alarm if an attempt is made to remove the article from the store. Alternatively, a pair of locking body elements surrounds a knob on an article handle. The locking body elements each include a cavity portion that combine to form cavities within which the knob of an article handle and an electronic article surveillance tag and/or a tethered anchor may be placed.

摘要： A lasso for securing an object to be monitored. The lasso has a flexible cord with a length and first and second free ends, and a connector having a body with at least one opening therethrough. The portion of the flexible cord between the first and second free ends is directed through the at least one opening so that the connector and the portion of the flexible cord define a closed first loop with an effective diameter. The portion of the flexible cord is configurable to be generally U-shaped with a base and first and second legs which each project through the at least one opening. At least one of the first and second legs is movable relative to the fitting so that the effective diameter of the closed first loop is variable. The first free end of the flexible cord is directed through the closed first loop so as to define a closed second loop with an effective diameter that is variable by selectively oppositely moving the flexible cord through the closed first loop.

With the inventive structure, the blocking element prohibits the passage of certain garments/security hangers, that encircle the elongate rail, over and past the free end of the elongate rail, that could otherwise occur in the absence of the blocking element on the elongate rail.

The apparatus includes a housing defining an internal chamber. The housing includes a first aperture passing through the housing into the internal chamber for receiving the elongate member, a second aperture for receiving a magnetic key, and a locking member that has a magnetic portion and is movably disposed within the internal chamber. The locking member is adapted to selectively: maintain the apparatus in locked and unlocked configurations in which the locking member respectively prevents or permits the elongate member from being at least partially withdrawn from the first aperture. Whether the locking member maintains the apparatus in the locked or unlocked configuration depends on whether or not the magnetic key is inserted into the second aperture.

摘要： A security system and method of monitoring a portable device. The security system has a first sensor, a controller, and an alarm signal generator. The controller is capable of detecting that the first sensor, with the security system in an armed state, has changed from the secured state, and as an incident thereof, causing a signal to be generated by the alarm signal generator. The controller and first sensor are configured so that under certain conditions the first sensor must be changed from the unsecured state into the secured state and maintained in the secured state for a predetermined time period before the controller, first sensor and alarm signal generator can thereafter interact to produce a detectable signal in the event of a security breach.

The cable attaching assembly has an anchor element with first and second transverse legs. The first leg is directed into the opening in a first direction into a first position with the anchor element in a first orientation. The anchor element is changed from the first orientation, with the anchor element in the first position, to place the anchor element in an operative position, wherein the first leg is situated in confronting relationship with the inside of the wall. The cable is connected to the anchor element so that the anchor element cannot be reoriented from the operative position to allow the anchor element to be withdrawn from the opening. The anchor element is the only component required in the opening.
