摘要： An electrical switch with a conductive bridge, a first wire configured to provide continuity with the conductive bridge, and a biasing member connected to the first wire. The biasing member provides a threshold reaction force to maintain continuity between the first wire and the conductive bridge. The switch further includes a housing that directs tensile forces acting upon the first wire to oppose a reaction force of the biasing member. When a tensile force acting on the first wire exceeds a threshold reaction force of the biasing member continuity between the first wire and the conductive bridge is broken.

摘要： A merchandise security device for securing items of merchandise from theft is provided. The merchandise security device may include a printed circuit board and a base containing the printed circuit board. The security device may include a sensor electrically connected to the printed circuit board and configured to engage a support surface for detecting unauthorized removal of the base from the support surface. The security device may also include a tether configured to be coupled to one or more items of merchandise, and a spool rotatably disposed within the base for winding and unwinding the tether, wherein the tether is configured to be extended and retracted relative to the base. The printed circuit board is coupled to the spool such that the printed circuit board is configured to rotate relative to the base when the tether is extended and retracted, and the sensor is configured to remain stationary when the tether is extended and retracted.

摘要： An electronic article surveillance device with an electronics housing and base attaches to an article to be protected. The housing and base have connecting interfaces which act together to attach the housing to the base. The housing and base have matching apertures. A switch and a wrapping splitter extend from the housing through the apertures. The switch detects when the device is attached to an object and the wrapping splitter splits the wrapping to prevent the wrapping from being used to defeat the switch. Electronics monitor the status of the switch. The apparatus may employ a restraining mechanism to prevent the operation of the wrapping splitter unless the housing is attached to the base. The housing and base may be attached to each other by a manually movable latch, which may also actuate the wrapping splitter. Electronics in the apparatus receive and send signals.

摘要： An electronic article surveillance device with an electronics housing and base attaches to an article to be protected. The housing and base have connecting interfaces which act together to attach the housing to the base. The housing has a switch on the underside and the base has an aperture partially covered by a flexible tab that aligns with the switch. The flexible tab normally protrudes away from the bottom surface of the base. When the base is attached to an article, the tab is pushed back into the aperture. When the housing is attached to the base, the switch contacts the tab. If the EAS device is removed from the base without disarming the device, the tab moves out of the aperture and allows the switch to detect the removal. The EAS device then issues an alarm. The flexible tab may a piercing element to pierce plastic wrapping, if present.

摘要： An anti-theft device for monitoring Type C USB connector. An alarm module has a first terminal and a second terminal. A male plug has a first conductive member in electrical communication with the first terminal and a second conductive member in electrical communication with the second terminal. When the male plug is positioned within the receptacle, a closed electric circuit forms between the first and second conductive members. The alarm module supplies an electric current to the first terminal and monitors the electric current flowing to the second terminal. Responsive to detecting an interruption in the electric current flowing between the first and the second terminals, the alarm module transmits an alarm signal.
