Abstract: A display device includes a display panel foldable with respect to a folding axis substantially parallel to a first direction and a support plate disposed under the display panel and including a folding plate foldable with respect to the folding axis. The folding plate includes at least one first support layer and at least one second support layer. The folding plate has a first elastic modulus corresponding to a bending strength with respect to a second direction intersecting the first direction and a second elastic modulus corresponding to a bending strength with respect to the first direction. The first elastic modulus is smaller than the second elastic modulus.

The first portion has a maximum thickness in a range from about 40 μm to about 85 μm, a maximum inclined angle in a range from about 10° to 30°, and an elastic modulus in a range from about 50 MPa to about 300 MPa.
