The semblance-based analysis includes group semblance mapping of the data, followed by single shot semblance map handling, followed by multiple shot data handling. The systems include a seismic source, a seismic receiver, and an electronics system for processing data according to a process including: group semblance mapping, single shot map handling, and multiple shot data handling. The seismic source may generate low frequency signals, and the seismic receiver may be two or more receiver subsystems that include at least two axially spaced-apart hydrophones and at least one multi-component geophone.

The method includes deploying an instrument connected to an instrument line into a drill string, through a sealed entry port formed in a drilling device coupled to the drill string, the drill string being at least partially within the wellbore, the wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation. The method also includes transmitting a signal from a source and through the formation. The signal is sensed by the instrument in the drill string. The method further includes determining one or more formation characteristics based on the signal sensed by the instrument, and performing one or more drilling processes using the drill string, while transmitting the signal, determining the one or more formation characteristics, or both.

    摘要: A drilling system and method for deploying an instrument in a drill string in a wellbore. The method includes receiving an active instrument line through a drilling device and into the drill string, the active instrument line being connected to the instrument via a shallow connection, the instrument and the shallow connection being in the drill string. The method also includes lowering the active instrument line until a lower connection thereof reaches a predetermined depth, disconnecting the active instrument line from the shallow connection at the predetermined depth, and removing the active instrument line from the drill string, while the instrument remains in the drill string. The method further includes connecting a first interconnected line to the shallow connection in the drill string and to the active instrument line, and lowering the active instrument line, the first interconnected line, and the instrument in the drill string.

The downhole seismic receiver systems may be integrated into drill-string components, including drill collars of a bottom hole assembly.
