    Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a user equipment (UE) and a method for performing communication in a mission critical services (MCX) off-network. The method includes: sending an announcement message for a slot reservation for a complete scheduling assignment (SA) cycle; determining whether a second UE in the MCX Off-network is trying to reserve same slot and having a higher priority than priority of the first UE. Further, the method includes performing one of: backing off and sending a new announcement message for the slot reservation in response to determining that the second UE is trying to reserve a same slot and has the higher priority than the priority of the first UE, and reserving the same slot in response to determining that the second UE is trying to reserve the same slot and the second UE has a lower priority than the priority of the first UE.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A method for communication of a constrained user equipment (UE) with a Message in Fifth Generation (MSGin5G) server providing a MSGin5G service in an IoT network is provided. The method includes receiving, by an unconstrained UE, a registration request comprises a security credential of the constrained UE from the constrained UE, where the unconstrained UE have access to the MSGin5G server and the constrained UE do not have access to the MSGin5G server. The method includes determining, by the unconstrained UE, whether the constrained UE is authorized based on the security credential. The method includes performing, by the unconstrained UE, a registration of the constrained UE with the unconstrained UE for communication of the constrained UE with the MSGin5G server based on authorization of the constrained UE.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). Embodiments herein provide a method, an MSGin5G server , and non-MSGin5G gateway for providing messaging service in 5th generation system. The provided method provides a TRF which can assist the MSGin5G server to determine a transport service(s), a GWSF which can assist the MSGin5G server to determine appropriate gateway for the determined transport service(s). Further, the provided method includes a TF to translate the MSGin5G message to a legacy 3GPP message format or a non-3GPP message format.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A method for handling reception of a plurality of media streams in a mission critical (MC) system is provided. The method includes transmitting, by an MC server, a request to each of one or more receiving devices for receiving a plurality of media streams from a plurality of transmitting devices; receiving, by the MC server, a response from each one of the one or more receiving devices for receiving a number of media streams among the plurality of media streams transmitted by the one or more of the plurality of transmitting devices and updating the number of media streams to be received by each one of the one or more receiving devices as a counter value; identifying, by the MC server, the one or more receiving devices intended to receive the media streams from the one or more of the plurality of transmitting devices based on a synchronization source (SSRC) identifier associated with media streams of each of the one or more of the plurality of transmitting devices and the counter value; and transmitting, based on the SSRC identifier and the counter value, by the MC server, media streams from the one or more of the plurality of transmitting devices to the identified one or more receiving devices.
