摘要:
The piezoelectric transformer obtains large output powers by way of reducing the heat generation. The piezoelectric transformer includes one or more input parts and an output part. Each of the input parts is formed of alternately stacked piezoelectric sheets and internal electrodes. Each piezoelectric sheet has a first region on which the internal electrode is formed and a second region on which no internal electrode is formed. Each of the input parts includes means for reducing stress concentration around boundary regions between the first and the second regions.

A dielectric ceramic essentially in the form of an aggregate of crystal grains each having a ferroelectric core enclosed in a paraelectric shell. The shells are created by thermal diffusion of magnesium into the crystal grains. Through control of the firing temperature and time the thicknesses of the shells are confined in the range of approximately 5-30% of the average grain size. The resulting ceramic is low in dielectric constant and favorable in temperature characteristic of capacitance, making it suitable for use in laminated capacitors.

In a vehicle navigation system, when a voice control part, which is displayed on a screen, is switched off, a voice control part inhibits voice guidance from being output to a speaker. Now, if a current-location/guide selection key is operated, the voice control part creates voice guidance according to the operation of the selection key and outputs the voice guidance from the speaker. With this navigation system, aural route guidance is possible only at the driver's request.

A vehicle route guidance system includes a map information storage section 10 which has a road type storage section 10a for storing various types of roads such as toll roads, express highways and motorways. A route guidance control section 26 reads out map information including road type information and route information. A road type change point detecting section 26a detects a road type change point. The route guidance control section 26 causes a display 28 and a voice controller 30 to perform the route guidance when a vehicle approaches a point a given distance short of the road type change point. The voice controller 30 responds to the instruction from the route guidance control section 26 to announce the route guidance for informing the driver of the entry to a toll road, express highway or motorway.
摘要:
A voice expression selection processing section recognizes a route from data from a route memory. When a vehicle has reached a junction, it is judged whether or not a curved road is present at the junction on the basis of connecting road number data from a junction data storage section, connecting angle data and connecting road width data. The content of the voice expression is changed in accordance with a case where the curved road is present or another case where the curved road is absent. Particularly, when the curved road is present, the direction of this curved road is added as a base of the voice expression. Therefore, the voice expression which matches with the feeling of a driver can be carried out to achieve suitable car guidance.

A navigation system for vehicles, capable of exactly and quickly showing guide information to a driver when two intersections to be negotiated are close to each other, is provided. A destination is input by an input part and a route to the destination is calculated from a present position of a vehicle, calculated by a present position determiner, by a route calculator included in a calculation section. The calculated route is stored in a route memory. A route guide controller included in the calculation section reads map information around the vehicle, stored in a guide information memory within a map information storage section and superimposes the map information with the present position of the vehicle, a traveling direction and the route stored in the route memory to display the superimposed information on a display. When the vehicle approaches the intersection, the screen is changed with an intersection map, but, when a next intersection map is required, the next intersection map is drawn on the back screen and is displayed by changing the two screens after the vehicle passes through the first intersection.

A monolithic capacitor having a dielectric ceramic body cosintered with at least two base metal electrodes. The ceramic body is composed of a major ingredient expressed by the formula,(1-.alpha.) {(Ba.sub.k-x M.sub.x)O.sub.k (Ti.sub.1-y R.sub.y)O.sub.2-(y/2) }+.alpha.CaZrO.sub.3where M is either or both of calcium and strontium, R is a rare earth element or elements, and .alpha., k, x and y are numerals in specified ranges. To this major ingredient is added a minor proportion of an additive. The additive is a mixture of boric oxide or lithium oxide, silicon dioxide and at least one metal oxide selected from among barium oxide, strontium oxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide and zinc oxide. For the fabrication of capacitors the mixture of the above major ingredient and additives in finely divided form are formed into moldings of desired shape and size, each with at least two electrodes buried therein. The moldings and electrodes are cosintered in a reductive or neutral atmosphere at temperatures of less than 1200 degrees C. and then are heated at a lower temperature in an oxidative atmosphere.

摘要:
A monolithic ceramic capacitor having a higher DC breakdown voltage per unit thickness of the dielectric ceramic body than heretofore. The major ingredient of the ceramic is expressed as {(Ba.sub.1-x-y Ca.sub.x Sr.sub.y)O}.sub.k (Ti.sub.1-z Zr.sub.z)O.sub.2, where x, y, z and k are numerals in the ranges specified herein. To this major ingredient is added a minor proportion of a mixture of boric oxide and silicon dioxide in specified ranges of proportions. For the fabrication of capacitors having dielectric bodies of the above composition, the moldings of the mixture of the major ingredient and additives in the specified proportions are sintered to maturity in a reductive or neutral atmosphere and then reheated at a lower temperature in an oxidative atmosphere. The sintering temperature can be so low (1000.degree.-1200.degree. C.) that the moldings can be cosintered with base metal electrodes buried therein.
