Abstract: An operating device for a bicycle that includes a fixing member that is adapted to be fixed to a bicycle handlebar and includes an adjustment portion, and a housing that includes first, second and third members. The first member and the second member define an adjustment space therebetween and the third member fixes the first member and the second member to each other without passing through the adjustment portion. The adjustment portion of the fixing member is at least partially received in the adjustment space such that the adjustment portion is adjustable relative to the housing in at least a first adjustment direction.

Abstract: A bicycle operating device is basically provided with a support structure, a first release member, a second release member and a select member. The first release member is movably supported on the support structure between a first non-releasing position and a first releasing position. The second release member is movably supported on the support structure between a second non-releasing position and a second releasing position. The select member is movably supported on the support structure between at least a first select position and a second select position. The select member permits movement of the first release member and prevents movement of the second release member while the select member is in the first select position. The select member permits movement of the second release member and prevents movement of the first release member while the select member is in the second select position.

Abstract: A bicycle operating device includes a base member, a positioning ratchet, a holding member and a restricting member. The holding member moves between a holding position and a releasing position to selectively establish a plurality of gear positions. The holding member prevents movement of the positioning ratchet while the holding member is in the holding position, and releases the positioning ratchet for movement while the holding member is in the releasing position. The restricting member moves between a non-restricting position and at least one restricting position in which the restricting member restricts movement of the positioning ratchet. The positioning ratchet moves in a first set of the gear positions while the restricting member is in the non-restricting position. The positioning ratchet moves in a second set of the gear positions while the restricting member is in the at least one restricting position.

Abstract: A bicycle control device is provided for operating a bicycle component. The bicycle control device includes a base member, an operating member, a take-up member and a pulling member. The operating member moves relative to the base member in opposite directions from a rest position to first and second operated positions. The take-up member moves relative to the base member in a take-up direction for pulling a control cable and a releasing direction for releasing the control cable. The pulling member is disposed on the operating member to move the take-up member in the take-up direction in response to an operation of the operating member toward the first operated position. The take-up member moves in the releasing direction in response to an operation of the operating member toward the second operated position. The pulling member contacts the take-up member while the operating member is in the rest position.
