Abstract: A wireless control system for a bicycle may include a base part attachable to a bicycle and a movable part. The control system may also include an electric motor disposed on the electromechanical component and a control unit disposed on the electromechanical component for operating the electric motor to operate the electromechanical component, the control unit including a wireless receiver. The control system includes a wake sensor connected to the control unit, the wake sensor configured to communicate a wake signal to the control unit.

The operating device also comprises a sensor unit located in the outer unit and configured to generate a hand signal indicating the absence of a user's hand on the outer unit, and a manipulating device for manipulating the control signal on the basis of the hand signal.

Abstract: A powertrain for an electric bicycle has: an electric motor; a motor gear driven by the electric motor; a crankshaft adapted for connecting to crank arms; an input shaft having first and second end portions, the second end portion driven by the crankshaft; an input gear connected to the first end portion and being driven by the motor gear, the input gear driving the input shaft; at least one first gear mounted to the input shaft; an output shaft; at least one second gear mounted to the output shaft and being driven by the at least one first gear; a drive sprocket driven by the output shaft; and a torque sensor disposed between the second end portion and the at least one first gear for sensing torque applied to the input shaft. The electric motor is controlled based at least in part on torque sensed by the torque sensor.

Abstract: A wireless communication device for a human-powered vehicle comprises a wireless communicator and a controller. The wireless communicator is configured to wirelessly communicate with an additional wireless communicator. The wireless communicator has a first mode in which the wireless communicator operates under a first power consumption and a second mode in which the wireless communicator operates under a second power consumption which is lower than the first power consumption. The controller is configured to detect a change in a state of at least one switch. The controller is configured to set the wireless communicator with the first mode if the controller detects the change in the state of the at least one switch as the wireless communicator is in the second mode.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to electric road-legal vehicles, and provides a pedal-assisted RTO registrable two-wheeled electric vehicle (20). The vehicle (20) includes a hub motor (8) mounted on its rear wheel (9) axle, and a pedal assembly (6). The vehicle (20) houses a battery pack (2), and a swing arm. The battery pack (2) drives the hub motor (8) at power greater than 250 Watts and top speed greater than 25 kmph. A sensing unit senses the angular displacement of an accelerator (1) to generate a sensed displacement value. A torque sensor (7) is fitted in the frame near the pedals, to sense the torque applied by the pedal assembly (6) while driving, and generate a sensed torque value. A control module receives the sensed displacement value and the sensed torque value to generate an actuating signal for supplying power from the battery pack (2) to drive the hub motor (8).
