摘要: A bicycle pedal assembly has a cleat releasably coupled to a pedal by a cleat engagement mechanism formed on an upper surface of its pedal body. The pedal body has a front end configured and arranged to include a sole guide portion that assists the rider in rotating the pedal body about its pedal shaft. In one embodiment, the sole guide portion is formed by a first concaved sole receiving recess located in a tip surface of the pedal body and a second concaved sole receiving recess located on the upper surface of the pedal body adjacent to the tip surface. Alternatively, the concaved sole receiving recesses can be replaced with either a pair of laterally spaced projections located on at the front end of the pedal body, or a V-shaped tip surface.

The pedal and the cleat are configured to form a laterally shiftable floating pivot axis such that the bicycle shoe cleat pivots and laterally shifts about the floating pivot axis relative to the pedal body through predetermined ranges of pivotal and lateral movements without releasing the bicycle shoe cleat from the bicycle pedal.

Each of the clamping members has an engagement surface facing in a first direction. The cleat has front and rear attachment portions that are selectively engageable with the pedal via the front and rear clamping members. Specifically, the front and rear attachment portions have front and rear offset coupling surfaces engageable with the front and rear engagement surfaces. The pedal and the cleat are configured to form a rear float pivot axis on a rear side of a center rotation axis of the pedal and a front cleat release pivot axis on a front side of the center rotation axis.

摘要: A retaining structure for a webbing retained by a seat of a vehicle enables the tension which acts on the webbing to be transmitted to the body of the vehicle so as to be carried thereby. The tension acting on the webbing is carried by the seat and also by a retaining flexible continuous member which is retained by the vehicle body and to which the webbing tension is transmitted. Accordingly, the tension which acts on the webbing when an emergency situation of the vehicle occurs can reliably be transmitted to the vehicle body so as to be carried thereby.

摘要: A bicycle pedal has a body with at least one pair of clamping members that are pivotally coupled to the pedal body. The rear clamping member has an elongated tongue extending past the pedal body end to allow the rider to rotate the pedal. Each clamping member has a cleat engagement surface with the front cleat engagement surface being radially spaced from its pivot axis by a distance that is less than the radially spacing of the rear cleat engagement surface being spaced from its pivot axis. The rear clamping member pivots through a predetermined angle that is larger than the predetermined angle of pivot of the front clamping member for easy entry of the cleat. Each clamping member has a cleat stop surface with the front cleat stop surface being spaced farther from the center rotational axis than the rear cleat stop surface for easy entry of the cleat.

摘要: A bicycle pedal has a body with at least one pair of clamping members that are pivotally coupled to the pedal body. The rear clamping member pivots through a predetermined angle that is larger than the predetermined angle of pivot of the front clamping member for easy entry of the cleat. Each clamping member has a cleat stop surface with the front cleat stop surface being spaced farther from the center rotational axis than the rear cleat stop surface for easy entry of the cleat. Each clamping member has a cleat engagement surface with the front cleat engagement surface being radially spaced from its pivot axis by a distance that is less than the radially spacing of the rear cleat engagement surface being spaced from its pivot axis. 摘要: To provide a steering wheel which is lightweight, and which has adequate strength and shock resistance, a carbon fiber prepreg 13 is wound on a mandrel 11 or a lightweight foam core 40 so as to obtain a preformer 14. By heating this preformer 14 in a mold 18, a steering wheel is obtained wherein the rim is formed from a fiber-reinforced synthetic resin joined to a metal skeleton 23.

摘要: An air bag cover holding structure comprises: a plate-shaped bag holder for fixing an air bag cover to a steering wheel, the plate-shaped bag holder having engaging claws which are respectively engaged with hook-shaped grooves formed on an inner peripheral wall at an open-side end of the air bag cover; a reinforcing plate fixed in a state of overlapping with the plate-shaped bag holder and having engaging portions, the engaging portions being respectively inserted in plate inserting holes which are formed at the open-side end of the air bag cover in directions crossing the hook-shaped grooves so as to hold the air bag cover together with the engaging claws; and a pull-out prevention reinforcing member provided in at least one of the engaging claws and the engaging portions to prevent the air bag cover from being pulled out from the plate-shaped bag holder and the reinforcing plate.
