    摘要: A liquid ejection method includes a step of preparing a liquid ejection head including an electrothermal transducer element for generating thermal energy contributable to ejection of liquid, an ejection outlet for ejecting the liquid, the ejection outlet being provided at a position opposed to the electrothermal transducer element, and a liquid flow path in fluid communication with the ejection outlet to supply the liquid to the ejection outlet and having the electrothermal transducer element on its bottom side; and a step of applying the thermal energy to the liquid to cause the liquid to undergo a change of state and thus to create a bubble. The liquid is ejected through the ejection outlet by the pressure of the bubble. The bubble is first in communication with ambience during reduction of the volume of the bubble after the bubble reaches a maximum volume.

    摘要: There is provided a driving method for an ink jet head comprising one or more discharge ports for discharging the ink, a substrate incorporating one or more heat generating elements for generating the heat energy, each of which is provided correspondent to each discharge port, and a support plate or casing on which the substrate is mounted. The method is characterized in that when recording an image with the ink jet head in which the heat energy for discharging the ink in accordance with an image signal is generated in the heat generating elements, and the thermal resistance value passing through said support plate or casing is lower than that not passing through the support plate or casing among the thermal resistance between the substrate and externally of the apparatus (E.sub.max -E)/(V.sub.max -V) is controlled to be always substantially constant whenever E.noteq.E.sub.max, providing that the thermal energy generated in the substrate is E.sub.max when the ink jet head discharges the ink with a maximum volume of V.sub.max, the ink discharge volume in accordance with the image signal is V, and the heat energy generated in the substrate at this time is E.

    摘要: A liquid jet recording head includes a liquid path communicating with a discharge opening through which a liquid is discharged; a plurality of heating elements disposed in the liquid path, each of the heating elements having a different minimum power requirement for enabling the liquid to be discharged; and electrodes for allowing electric power to be simultaneously supplied to the plurality of heating elements. This invention further provides a liquid jet recording apparatus having a liquid jet recording head constructed in the above-described manner. The power density of each heating element is varied by the application of a drive voltage, thereby enabling stable step control over the gradation of an image recorded without the need for complicated wiring.
