In the broadband wireless communication system, a Base Station (BS) includes a sorter for generating a first index group in which indices of relay stations are sorted according to channel information between the BS and each relay station; a receiver for receiving a second index group in which the indices of the relay stations are sorted according to channel information between a Mobile Station (MS) and each relay station; and a selector for selecting a relay station to be used to communicate with the MS by using the first index group and the second index group.

    摘要: A peak cancellation apparatus is included in a base station transmission unit to cancel the peak component of the peak signal. Thus, the base station transmission unit can be implemented with a lower capacity power amplifier. In addition, an existing power amplifier can be replaced with a low-priced power amplifier, so that an expense can be reduced. Moreover, since only the digital signal having the limited PAR is used, the degradation of the signal quality caused in conversion of the digital signal to the analog signal can be prevented. The peak cancellation apparatus includes a peak cancellation unit positioned between a multiplier and a pulse shaping filter or between the pulse shaping filter and a D/A converter and removing a peak component of the peak signal.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for renewal-based resource allocation in a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) system are provided. A Base Station (BS) allocates resources to a Mobile Station (MS) by resource allocation information. It is determined whether the MS requires continuous resource allocation or whether the MS does not have transmission data temporarily, when a resource allocation duration for downlink resources allocated to the MS has expired. One of resource allocation termination, resource allocation renewal, and temporary resource lending to another MS is performed according to the determination. Information for updating the resource allocation information is transmitted to the MS.

Identification information indicating the network coding, identification information of the MS, sizes of the first and second data, and sequence numbers of the first and second data are recorded in a header of the packet.
