An apparatus, system, and method for controlling a display, each of which: controls the display to display an image of a predetermined area of a first image, the first image being superimposed with a second image; determines whether the second image is viewed by a user; and switches a display of the second image between a first display in which the second image is displayed as a still image and a second display in which the second image is displayed as a moving image, based on a determination result indicating whether the second image is viewed by the user.

The first communication function is to provide communication using a signaling protocol for connecting to or disconnecting from a destination of communication and an encoding protocol for encapsulating communication data in IP packets. The second communication function is to provide communication using the same signaling protocol and a different encoding protocol. By causing the transmission terminal to request the relay apparatus via the transmission control apparatus to establish a single point conference session, and causing the relay apparatus to establish the single point conference session, a single-point self-diagnosis of the transmission terminal is performed.
