摘要: While an FM-CW mode for sensing an object, in which a frequency of an electromagnetic wave transmitted from a transmission/reception antenna 6 is continuously modulated, and also, a CW mode for judging an abnormal condition, in which the frequency of the electromagnetic wave to be transmitted from the transmission/reception antenna 6 is not modulated are switched, an abnormal condition judging section judges an abnormal condition when a signal level of a reception signal of the FM-CW mode is smaller than, or equal to a first judging threshold value, and also, a signal level of a reception signal in the CW mode is smaller than, or equal to a second judging threshold value which is higher than the first judging threshold value.

摘要: In an object-detecting system using an FM-CW wave, points f1 to f4 corresponding to detection peaks of a reflected wave from a road-side object such as guardrail and points m1 and m2 corresponding to detection peaks of a reflected wave from a moving object such as a reflector of a preceding vehicle are indicated on two-dimensional coordinates along with the shape of a road ahead of a subject vehicle. Among the points f1 to f4, m1 and m2, the points f1 to f4 are determined as being provided by the reflected wave from the road-side object, and a distance from the subject vehicle to the object and a speed of the subject vehicle relative the object are calculated using the remaining points m1 and m2 excluding the points f1 to f4. Thus, only the moving object except the road-side object can be detected.

摘要: In order to effectively perform on/off control for an air-conditioning system carried on an automobile during idling operation of the automobile, if a state, in which a difference between a target idling number of revolution and a net idling number of revolution is larger than a preset difference value, is continued for a preset period of time, then an electromagnetic clutch is disconnected, and a compressor is allowed to be in an operation stop state. After that, if the difference is smaller than the preset difference value, and a state, in which the difference is smaller than the preset difference value, is continued for a preset period of time, then the electromagnetic clutch is connected, and the compressor is restored to be in an operating state. By doing so, it is possible to previously avoid the occurrence of vibration of the vehicle body due to vibration of the engine, and the occurrence of booming noise in the vehicle's cabin caused by the vibration. The air-conditioning system is automatically restored to be in the operating state when it is judged that the state of the engine is restored. Therefore, the convenience of use of the air-conditioning system is improved.

摘要: A camera whose body is wound with a belt-like protective cover having an end detachably held by pin members thereon in such a manner as to cover a wall surface thereof. The protective cover is operative to cover and protects at least a photographing lens, a distance measuring or range finder window and a stroboscopic window. Thus, the camera is put into an enclosed state. Further, the enclosed state, in which the protective cover is wound around the body of the camera, is maintained by fitting a magnet hook attached to the other end of the protective cover into another magnet hook attached to the body of the camera and making these magnet hooks attracted to each other. Moreover, when putting the camera into a ready-to-photograph state, the protective cover is unwound by removing the magnet hooks from each other and opening the photographing lens and so on.

摘要: A camera has barrier supported by a rail block attached to the body of the camera and movable from a fully closed position where the barrier entirely covers the front of an imaging lens to a fully opened position where the barrier is fully retracted clear of the front of the imaging lens. At its fully closed position and fully opened position, the barrier clicks when a ball is pressed into contact with a cam formed on the rear surface of the barrier. Projection of the ball is restrained by a slip-off prevention portion of the rail block so that the barrier is not subjected to an excessive urging force. In the camera, the barrier is not subjected to an unnecessarily large urging force and is less likely to lift away from the camera. The advantage is particularly great if the barrier in use is narrower than the outer diameter of a lens barrel.

摘要: A programmable serializer comprising a multi-bit input port, a multi-bit output port, at least one multiplexer and at least one programmable address counter corresponding to the multiplexer for generating a sequence of multiplexer data input addresses that are inputted into the multiplexer address input. The multiplexer has an output connected to the multi-bit output port, an address input and a plurality of data input channels having addresses. Each data input channel is connected to a corresponding bit of the multi-bit input port. At least one data input channel is coupled to the multiplexer output when the corresponding address of the data input channel is applied to the address input. The programmable address counter receives and stores an initial address value, an address increment value and a count value and generates a sequence of addresses based on these values. The initial address value represents the multiplexer data channel that is to be initially coupled to the multiplexer output. The address increment value represents the increment that must be added to a current address in order to reach a next address. The count value represents the number of address that must be generated by the counter prior to restarting the sequence at the initial address value.
