Abstract: A driving lane detection device of the present disclosure includes: an object detector, a vehicle detector, and a driving lane detector. The object detector generates object data relating to a distance and direction from the vehicle to an object and a movement direction of the object based on one or more reflection waves that are a radar signal transmitted by a radar device and reflected by the one or more object. The vehicle detector detects each object as at least one of a parallel-running vehicle running in a same direction as the vehicle or an oncoming vehicle running in an opposite direction to the vehicle, based on the object data. The driving lane detector detects a driving lane based on the distance and direction from the vehicle to at least one of the detected parallel-running and the detected oncoming vehicles and lane information on at least one of lane widths and a number of lanes of a road on which the vehicle is running.

Abstract: A dual-frequency CW processing unit (12) calculates an observation-point orientation of an observation point. An FMCW processing unit (11) calculates at least a power spectrum of a beat signal, which has been generated based on radar waves that have come from the calculated observation-point orientation, in terms of an up-modulation time interval and a down-modulation time interval (termed orientation power spectrum hereinafter). The FMCW processing unit (11) shifts the orientation power spectra of the up- and down-modulation time intervals to positive and negative directions, respectively, by an amount corresponding to a Doppler shift frequency. The FMCW processing unit (11) calculates a differential power spectrum by differentiating the orientation power spectra of the shifted up- and down-modulation time intervals, and detects a peak frequency where intensity is maximum.

Abstract: A vehicular lane change system includes a forward-viewing camera that has a field of view through the vehicle windshield that encompasses a road being traveled along by the vehicle. Responsive at least in part to processing of image data captured by the camera, a control determines the lane traveled by the vehicle. The control is operable to detect a lane change maneuver of the vehicle to a lane immediately adjacent to the lane traveled by the vehicle. Detection of the lane change maneuver is based at least in part on vehicle steering data and/or image processing of captured image data. Responsive to the control detecting the lane change maneuver of the vehicle when the driver of the vehicle has neglected to turn on an appropriate turn signal indicator of the vehicle, the control automatically turns on the turn signal indicator at the appropriate side of the vehicle.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for controlling an autonomous vehicle. The systems and methods obtain first and second time spaced point clouds based on three-dimensional position data, of a scene outside of the autonomous vehicle, from sensor of the autonomous vehicle. The systems and methods position align a static aspect of the scene in the first point cloud with a static aspect of the scene in the second point cloud to obtain position aligned first and second point clouds. The systems and methods determine, via a processor, a velocity of a moving object in the position aligned first and second point clouds. The systems and methods perform an autonomous vehicle control function using the velocity of the moving object.
