    摘要: An image display unit has a display region with a higher resolution than a number of pixels of an image. A base information storage unit stores viewing position information of a viewer and size information of the display region. A wide-angle transformation unit calculates a central area including a viewing center of the viewer of the display region using the viewing position information and the size information, divides the image into a first pixel area corresponding to the central area and a second pixel area corresponding to a peripheral area other than the central area, and transforms the first pixel area and the second pixel area by magnifying. A magnification ratio of the first pixel area is less than a magnification ratio of the second pixel area. The image display unit displays an image including the transformed first pixel area and the transformed second pixel area.

However, further improvement of the contrast to improve the image quality has been demanded. The present invention provides a driving method of a plasma display device using obtuse-wave reset in which sustain time of an achieved potential of the obtuse-wave reset is controlled in accordance with a display ratio of a video signal.

On the first plate, a first and a second bus electrode are provided which extend in a first direction and are disposed at intervals. On the second plate, a plurality of first barrier ribs are provided which extend in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and are disposed at intervals. On the first plate, a plurality of address electrodes are provided which are disposed at respective positions facing the first barrier ribs. In a cell, a first and a second display electrode are provided which are coupled to the first and the second bus electrode respectively, and facing each other along the second direction. The first and the second display electrode are disposed on both sides of one of the address electrodes adjacently, respectively, along the first direction.

    摘要: A plasma display panel has a first plate and a second plate facing each other. An image display area of the plasma display panel is made up of cells emitting light by a discharge. A plurality of first electrodes extending in a first direction and disposed at intervals and a first dielectric layer covering the display area of the first electrodes are provided on the first plate. In addition, a plurality of second electrodes extending in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction and disposed at intervals are provided on the first dielectric layer. Further, a seal material is disposed in the shape of a frame, in order to adhere the second plate to the first plate, at a position more inside than an edge part of the first dielectric layer on an outer surround part of the display area on the second plate.
