摘要： A disc cartridge facilitates manufacturing of a shutter plate with manufacturing high yields and also facilitates pressing of the shutter plate, as well as ensuring smooth loading and unloading of the disc cartridge in to a cartridge operating unit. In the disc cartridge, a slider is provided with projections and holes for engagement and each of the shutter plates is provided with an L-shaped connected portion formed with holes and projections respectively engageable with the projections and holes of the slider, and connection of the slider to the shutter plates for assembling a shutter is accomplished through engagement between the projections and holes of the slider and shutter plates while abutting inner and end surfaces of the slider against horizontal and vertical portions of the stepped connected section of each of the shutter plates.

摘要： A disc cartridge capable of preventing entering of dust into a casing and ensuring a stable and positive operation without damaging a disc while satisfactorily exhibiting a cleaning effect and keeping proper contact between a recording head and the disc. A casing is provided thereon with a slide area which is formed by a slide area defining section of the casing. The slide area is formed with at least one head inserting hole. The slide area defining section is provided on an inner surface thereof with at least one thick-walled portion in a manner to extend along a whole periphery of a portion of the head inserting hole overlapping a sheet-like liner and inwardly project from the inner surface of the casing, so that the liner may be pressed against the disc at a force of a constant level over a wide area of the disc and block a communication between an exterior of the cartridge and its interior through the head inserting hole.

摘要： A cartridge accommodates a recording medium etc, and includes an opening and a shutter for opening and closing the opening. The shutter surface is formed with a hole with which an external drive member engages for driving the shutter. An inner side peripheral surface of the hole, upon which at least the drive member impinges when opening and closing the opening, is constructed of a bending portion continuous from the shutter surface. The bending portion can be worked as a continuous surface by punching out a prepared hole so as to leave a portion corresponding to the bending portion and thereafter bending it. A resinous protection layer having a thickness more than 12 &mgr;m is provided on the shutter surface upon which the drive member impinges when engaging with the hole.

摘要： A disk storage case comprising a main body and a cover body. The main body stores a disk-shaped medium therein and includes a bottom wall having a plurality of hold projections, side walls including extension portions extended therefrom, a front surface wall, and a back surface wall. The cover body includes a top wall, a pair of mutually opposing side walls, and a back surface wall, and the end portions of the pair of side walls of the cover body on the back surface wall side thereof is capable of being pivotally mounted on the extension portions to thereby mount the cover body on the main body in such a manner that the cover body can be opened and closed. The height of the back surface wall of the cover body is set substantially equal to the thickness of the disk storage case when the cover body is closed.

摘要： A disc cartridge includes a cartridge main body composed of a lower shell, in which a first opening that enables disc access for a disc-like recording medium in a housed state is formed, and an upper shell, a disc tray that is rotatably provided inside the cartridge main body and formed so that the recording medium can be mounted thereon, and a single shutter member disposed between the lower shell and the disc tray. A second opening, which enables disc access for the recording medium when the second opening overlaps the first opening in a thickness direction of the disc cartridge, is formed in the disc tray. The disc tray closes part of the first opening in a restricted state where the disc access is restricted, and is capable of opening the part of the first opening in a disc access state by being rotated inside the cartridge main body and causing the shutter member to slide. The shutter member closes another part of the first opening in the restricted state so as to close the first opening in concert with the disc tray, and in the disc access state the shutter member is caused to slide by the disc tray so as to be capable of opening the other part of the first opening.

The respective drums have respective outer peripheral surfaces between adjoining teeth conformed to inner peripheral surfaces of the respective recesses. The respective teeth have a portion extending into the respective recesses.

摘要： A storage case includes a main body and a cover member so supported by rotary spindles as to be rotatable with respect to the main body and rotatable between an opening position and a closing position. The cover member includes cartridge holding members, formed on right and left sides thereof, for holding and integrally rotating a cartridge inserted into between the main body and the cover member when the cover member rotates to the opening position. When the cover member is closed, an opening, which permits an insertion of a mini disk from outside, is formed between the main body and the cover member. The cover member is opened, whereby the mini disk encased in the storage case also rotates, and hence, even when an index card is disposed between, e.g., the mini disk and the main body, the index card can be taken out without pulling out the mini disk.

The disc cartridge includes an upper plate, a lower plate, and a center frame arranged between the upper plate and the lower plate, which are joined to each other to form a casing in which a disc-like medium is received. The upper plate defines the whole upper surface region of the disc cartridge, whereas the lower plate defines the whole lower surface region of the disc cartridge. The disc cartridge also includes an engaged structure in which an engagement structure of the information recording/reproducing apparatus is engagedly fitted. The engaged structure is constituted by only the lower plate.
