摘要： A disk cartridge has a casing composed of upper and lower casings 1,2 which are adapted to rotatably receive therein a disk-like medium 4, a shutter 5 attached to the casing so as to open and shut openings for driving shaft insertion holes 11, 12 and magnetic head insertion holes 12, 22 formed in the upper and lower casings 1,2, a disk-like medium taking-out port 15 formed in the casing and a cover member 3 for opening and closing the disk-like medium taking-out port 15, wherein the cover member 3 is disposed in the casing at a position opposing the shutter 5; a disk-like medium placing portion is provided by forming tongue-like projections 36 in the cover member 3 to support the disk-like member 4 from its lower surface side; the cover member 3 is so arranged as to slide between the upper and lower casings 1,2, whereby the disk-like member 4 can be taken out by simply drawing the cover member 3 from the disk-like medium taking-out port 15 or the disk-like medium 4 can be placed by simply inserting it, and operability in exchanging the disk-like medium 4 can be done extremely well. The lower casing 2 is so constructed that a recessed face portion 26 for receiving the tongue-like projections 36 formed in the cover member 3 is formed in an inner face which opposes the disk-like medium 4, whereby the strength of the casing can be well maintained; easy taking-out and insertion of the disk-like medium are permissible, and good operability of exchanging the disk-like medium is obtainable.

摘要： A disc cartridge of a three-piece structure capable of enhancing moldability and rigidity of a center frame. The center frame having a square-like shape is interposedly arranged between an upper plate and a lower plate and has a receiving space defined therein for receiving a disc-like medium. The upper and lower plates are provided on four corners thereof with fixing bosses respectively. The center frame is formed on opposite surfaces thereof with fitting recesses in which the bosses are fitted, respectively. The center frame is formed on each corner thereof with a thin-wall portion having a reduced thickness of 50 to 80% based on a whole thickness of the center frame.

摘要： A disc cartridge of a three-piece structure capable of being kept from being caught in an information recording/reproducing apparatus during loading/unloading thereof with respect to the apparatus. The disc cartridge includes an upper plate, a lower plate, and a center frame arranged between the upper plate and the lower plate, which are joined to each other to form a casing in which a disc-like medium is received. The upper plate defines the whole upper surface region of the disc cartridge, whereas the lower plate defines the whole lower surface region of the disc cartridge. The disc cartridge also includes an engaged structure in which an engagement structure of the information recording/reproducing apparatus is engagedly fitted. The engaged structure is constituted by only the lower plate.

摘要： Elastic lifters arranged on an inner surface of a casing of a disc cartridge to act pressing force on a disc each are formed integral with the casing and into a plate-like shape in such a manner that a proximal end thereof is mounted on the casing and the a end thereof is rendered free. Such construction permits the pressing force to be kept constant for a long period of time and effectively prevents damage to the disc-like medium, to thereby substantially improve durability and reliability of the disc cartridge while significantly decreasing the number of parts, facilitating assembling of the disc cartridge and attains a decrease in manufacturing cost.

摘要： A cartridge accommodates a recording medium etc, and includes an opening and a shutter for opening and closing the opening. The shutter surface is formed with a hole with which an external drive member engages for driving the shutter. An inner side peripheral surface of the hole, upon which at least the drive member impinges when opening and closing the opening, is constructed of a bending portion continuous from the shutter surface. The bending portion can be worked as a continuous surface by punching out a prepared hole so as to leave a portion corresponding to the bending portion and thereafter bending it. A resinous protection layer having a thickness more than 12 &mgr;m is provided on the shutter surface upon which the drive member impinges when engaging with the hole.

摘要： A disk storage case comprising a main body and a cover body. The main body stores a disk-shaped medium therein and includes a bottom wall having a plurality of hold projections, side walls including extension portions extended therefrom, a front surface wall, and a back surface wall. The cover body includes a top wall, a pair of mutually opposing side walls, and a back surface wall, and the end portions of the pair of side walls of the cover body on the back surface wall side thereof is capable of being pivotally mounted on the extension portions to thereby mount the cover body on the main body in such a manner that the cover body can be opened and closed. The height of the back surface wall of the cover body is set substantially equal to the thickness of the disk storage case when the cover body is closed.

摘要： A disc cartridge capable of ensuring smooth sliding of a shutter on a casing while keeping a connection plate of the shutter from being abutted against or in contact with the casing, leading to a safe and increased-in-reliability sliding operation of the shutter. A lower plate of the shutter is provided with a holding pawl and a lower casing member is formed on an outer surface thereof with a slide groove, in which the holding pawl is slidably fitted. A side surface of the lower casing member on which the connection plate of the shutter is slid is outwardly projected beyond a side surface of an upper casing member on which the connection plate is likewise slid. Alternatively, the shutter is so formed that a bending angle between the lower plate and the connection plate is larger than that between an upper plate and the connection plate.
