    摘要： A portable electronic key easily findable even if dropped into water. The portable electronic key includes an upper cover and a lower cover, a hermetically sealed space is formed, in which electrical equipment such as a board, a battery, and an antenna are arranged. The upper cover and the lower cover are formed of foam resin, and a grain pattern is given to surfaces thereof. A specific gravity of the entire electronic key is set at 1 or less, thus enabling the portable electronic key to float on the surface of the water.

    摘要： A remote control apparatus for a saddle-type vehicle includes a handlebar lock module having a knob enabling at least a starting operation of an engine, and a handlebar lock cancellation operation in response to reception of a signal from a portable transmitter. The knob is disposed on a leg shield covering the front of the legs of a rider. An accommodation recess includes a lid member and is formed on the leg shield on one side of the handlebar lock module. An emergency unlocking key cylinder lock for enabling at least starting of an engine and handlebar lock cancellation without the necessity for a portable transmitter is disposed in the leg shield such that a keyhole thereof faces an inner side face of the accommodation recess. The invention allows operation of the vehicle using an emergency unlocking mechanical key even if a portable transmitter is not available.

    摘要： A method for forming an image using a transfer material and an image-receiving material. The transfer material has at least a support, a light-heat exchange layer and a coloring material layer. The image-receiving material has at least an image-receiving layer. The coloring material layer is superposed on the image-receiving layer, and laser light is imagewasely irradiated onto this laminate from the transfer material side. An irradiated region of the coloring material layer transfers onto the image-receiving layer. The transfer material may include an electroconductive layer, and the surface of the coloring material layer may be charged by corona discharge before superposition. Moreover, yellow, magenta, cyan and black may be used one after another, The laser light may be irradiated from a multi-beam 2-dimensional laser array, The thickness of black coloring material layer is from 0.5 to 0.7 &mgr;m and is greater than the thickness of other coloring material layers.

    摘要： A connector socket has a plug insertion opening that is as small as possible to prevent insertion of fingers or other object. The mating plug travels on a hinged arcuate path into the plug insertion opening. The plug insertion opening is displaced from a centerline of its contacts to provide clearance permitting the mating plug to enter, while maintaining a minimum opening size. A front surface of the connector socket surrounding the plug insertion opening is a grounded conductive plate. Thus, even if one succeeds in forcing a finger or other charged object through the plug insertion opening, static charges are discharges to the conductive plate, and therefore do not pose a threat of electrical damage to components accessible within the plug insertion opening.
