摘要: In an ink jet recording head, an ink pool has a main flow path communicating with an ink supply port and a plurality of branch flow paths branching from the main flow path. Each ejector has a pressure chamber, a pressure generating unit and a nozzle. The pressure chamber communicates with the corresponding one of the branch flow paths. The pressure generating unit generates a pressure wave in ink charged into the pressure chamber. The nozzle ejects the ink from the pressure chamber compressed by the pressure wave. At least one wall surface forming each of the branch flow paths is formed of a damper member elastically deformable in accordance with the change of pressure in the branch flow path.

摘要: A fluid drop projecting apparatus which can fly, one by one, fluid drops far smaller than the opening bore from which the drops are projected, and moreover cay readily vary the size of the fluid drops, is provided. To this end, surface waves travelling toward a fluid drop projecting point are applied on the free surface of fluid in a fluid drop projecting chamber having an opening. The surface waves are generated by a surface wave generator including the fluid drop projecting chamber, a diaphragm and a piezo actuator. As the surface waves are generated by the surface wave generator at substantially equal distances from a fluid drop projecting point, the height of the surface waves gradually increases, amplified by their interference, and fluid drops are separated at and projected from the fluid drop projecting point.

摘要: A cleaning device includes a removing portion and a heater. The removing portion removes a toner held by an electrostatic force on a first surface of a latent image charge holding member. The latent image charge holding member includes a pyroelectric layer having a first surface on which the toner is deposited. The heater heats the pyroelectric layer to reduce the electrostatic force attracting the toner to the first surface of the pyroelectric layer, and the removing portion thereby removes the toner from the latent image charge holding member. In another embodiment of the cleaning device, the heater is incorporated in the removing portion which is a blade. In still another embodiment the cleaning device includes a heater and an ultrasonic vibrator is used as the removing portion.

摘要: A liquid crystal device having a higher durability and a display quality less likely to be degraded, for example, for use in a glare shield reflection mirror. The liquid crystal device comprises: a pair of substrate plates, a liquid crystal layer filled between the pair of substrate plates, and an oblique evaporation film laminated on one of the substrate plates, wherein a protective layer is formed on the boundary surface between the oblique evaporation film and a neighboring component member. The oblique evaporation film has become less susceptible to the neighboring material, and problems, such a bluish oblique evaporation film due to the proton (H.sup.+) intrusion from the neighboring material, have been prevented. Thus the liquid crystal device has come to have a higher durability and a display quality less likely to be degraded.

摘要: A solid pole oxygen sensor in which one end of a lead wire of platinum or platinum/rhodium is buried in a solid pole and the surfaces of the solid pole and the lead wire are coated with an electroconductive paste. The solid pole is wrapped or encased in a solid electrolyte, pressure-molded into a pellet, which is dried and then fired in a reducing atmosphere. The surface of the sintered mass thus obtained is then plated or baked to form a platinum electrode, and the oxygen sensor element thus obtained is fitted or secured to the tip of an approximately cylindrical ceramic insulator equipped with electroconductive zones to be connected to the platinum electrode.

摘要: The high temperature durability of an oxygen sensing element, which comprises a solid electrolyte member composed of sintered material, and a means for providing a reference oxygen partial pressure, composed of a sintered product of a finely divided metal or metal-metal oxide mixture powder and being completely embedded within the solid electrolyte member, is improved by incorporating in the finely divided metal or metal-metal oxide mixture powder an antisintering material and a pore-forming material capable of subliming or being decomposed, thereby to generate gas upon sintering. The amounts of the antisintering material and the pore-forming material are from 5 to 70% by weight and from 20 to 80% by weight, respectively, based on the total weight of these additives-incorporated metal or metal-metal oxide mixture. The low temperature operation capability of the oxygen sensing element is improved by further incorporating therein a minor amount of a platinum group metal.
