摘要: At a printing unit which structures a printing apparatus, a portion of a transport path, which portion includes a rear portion of an upper guide path portion of a printing guide path, a sub-scanning guide path, a paper ejection buffer and a front portion of a branching guide path, is assembled to an upper face side of a sliding panel together with a printing section and a separation and ejection roller which are assembled to the upper face side of the sliding panel. The sliding panel is attached to a casing of the printing unit with a pair of guide rails interposed therebetween at a front end portion and a rear end portion. By sliding of this sliding panel, the portion of the transport path can be slid along a direction substantially intersecting a direction in which the transport path extends.

摘要: There is provided a method for initializing an image display medium. The image display medium includes a pair of substrates, a common electrode, pixel electrodes that are arranged for respective pixels constituting rows and columns on the other substrate, a display layer in which groups of moving particles that move between the substrates in accordance with an electric field are dispersed in a dispersion medium enclosed between the substrates, and transistors that are connected to the pixel electrodes, respectively. Each transistor controls a voltage to be applied to the corresponding pixel. The method includes a first procedure of applying voltages to the source electrodes of the transistors of all the pixels collectively, and a second procedure of applying voltages to the gate electrodes of the transistors of all the pixels collectively while continuing the applying of the voltages in the first procedure.

摘要: A drive method and a drive of an ink-jet recording head which is capable of improving recording speed widely, and which is capable of materializing high quality recording without extending recording time even though the number of gradations increase, are provided. One-printing period T is divided into a plurality of segment T1, T2. The method and device cause plural kinds of drive-voltage-waveform SD1 to SD6 to be generated in accordance with size of an ink-drop in every respective segment T1, T2. The method and device select arbitrary drive-voltage-waveforms from among the plural kinds of drive-voltage-waveforms SD1 to SD6 supplied in every respective segment T1, T2 to supply to a vibration generator in every respective segment T1, T2. Thus it becomes possible to obtain a plurality of gradations during one-printing period T. It is capable of obtaining high quality printing image while improving recording speed widely. Further, printing time is not extended even though the number of gradations increase.
