    摘要: A lever 22 is pivotally supported on a male connector 21 by bosses 27, and provisionally-retaining abutment piece portions 38 are formed respectively at lower portions of side walls 28 of the lever 22 at a rear end portion thereof. Provisionally-retaining blocks 37 are formed at a lower portion of the male connector 21 at a rear end portion thereof, and the provisionally-retaining abutment piece portions 38 are abutted respectively against the provisionally-retaining blocks 37 in an initially-fitted condition. Cancellation plates 39 for canceling the abutting engagement of the provisionally-retaining abutment piece portions 38 with the provisionally-retaining blocks 37 are formed within a hood portion 32 of a female connector 23. With this construction, when the male connector 21 is to be fitted into the hood portion 32, engagement projections 30 can be easily inserted into guide grooves 34, respectively. Only the provisionally-retaining abutment piece portions 38 need to have resiliency, and therefore it is not necessary to increase the wall thickness of the lever 22, and also the pivotal movement of the lever 22 can be easily effected.

    摘要: In a slidably attaching type connector in which a female type connector housing is attached to and detached from a male type connector housing by using a slide member and a lever, one of the connector housings is slidably received within the slide member. At the time of moving the slide member to one direction, the tip portion of the lever engages with one engaging portion of the other connector housing to draw the one of the connector housings within the other connector housing thereby to attach the male type and female type connector housings to each other. Further, at the time of moving the slide member to a direction opposite to the one direction, another tip portion of the lever engages with the other engaging portion of the other connector housing to detach one of the connector housings from the other connector housing.

The die wear caused by punching is positioned at the tension side thereof where a tension of a connected electric wire is applied when it is pulled. Each of the pressure welding segments is formed by raising an inner portion of a U-shaped cutout slit punched at each of said side walls in a direction opposite to a direction of punching and the pressure welding segments are arranged to face with each other to form a slot therebetween into which an electric wire is press fitted to provide the pressure welding.

    摘要: A female terminal for waterproof connector which is so filled with resin-material that water or the like can not permeate the inside of a terminal receiving chamber of a connector housing, and a resin-filled waterproof connector which is inserted into the waterproof connector so that it prevents an outflow of the resin-material toward an electric contacting section. The female terminal includes the electrical contacting section 6 with a contacting spring piece 12, and the electrical wire connected section following the electrical contacting section, in order to prevent the resin material from outflow toward the side of electrical contacting section 6, the closed section which blocks the terminal receiving chamber 4a of the connector housing 2 containing the female terminal is formed between the electrical contacting section and the electrical wire connected section 8. The closed section 7 is so integrally formed that it becomes box-shape. A resilient section 9 intervenes between the electrical contacting section 6 and the closed section 7 so that it causes the electrical contacting section to move within the terminal receiving chamber 4a. The resilient section 9 is a bent section formed on the terminal substrate. A resin-filled waterproof connector consists of the above described female terminal for waterproof connector.

    摘要: A press-connecting terminal is formed from an electrically-conductive metal sheet, and includes a wire connection portion at one end portion thereof, and an electrical connection portion at the other end portion thereof for connection to a mating terminal. The wire connection portion includes a press-connecting blade defining a slot into which a covered wire is adapted to be press-fitted, and an insulation barrel for fixing the covered wire in the slot. An opening for receiving part of the covered wire is formed in that region of a bottom plate portion of the wire connection portion where the covered wire is pressed by the insulation barrel. With this construction, the ability of retaining the wire is enhanced, and the material cost for the metal sheet can be reduced. There is also disclosed a connector to which this press-connecting terminal is attached.
