    摘要: A modified lug press and use thereof is described. The modified lug press includes a press and a cartridge. The press includes a drive which, when activated, crimps a lug, positioned on a die, to a wire. A cartridge holds the given lug and at least one additional lug, and successively aligns the given lug and the at least one next lug for insertion onto the die for crimping by the press. The cartridge includes a left rail, with a track therein, at least one middle rail, and a right rail. Distances between the rails may be adjustable. A drive motor, when activated, successively pushes lugs onto the die. A lug separator permits one lug to be pushed on the die at any given time. A lug placement device inhibit lateral lug movement during wire insertion and crimping operations.

    摘要: Devices and methods for actuating a tool and methods for making such devices are provided. In one example, the device includes a piston subassembly. The piston subassembly includes a cylinder having a cavity, a head disposed in the cavity to move between first and second positions, and a rod coupled to the head and extending away from the second position. A holding subassembly is coupled to the piston subassembly. The holding subassembly includes a first holding member coupled to the rod and configured to hold a first leg of the tool and a second holding member spaced apart from the first holding member. The second holding member is configured to hold the second leg of the tool. When the head moves from the first position towards the second position, the rod moves the first holding member towards the second holding member.

The filament crimp element includes a first set of cavities disposed at a spacing which creates a first set of features and a second set of cavities disposed at a spacing which creates a second set of features. The first set of features are adapted to be placed at least partially within the second set of cavities and the second set of features are adapted to be placed at least partially within the first set of cavities.     摘要: A method aligns a crimping cassette crimping tool in a cable processing apparatus having a tensioning device for applying tension to a mounting part relative to a crimping device attachment surface. The crimping cassette includes the crimping tool having cooperating stationary and movable tool parts for crimping and a holding device that attaches to the mounting part fixed to the stationary tool part and has a position allowing a spatially-limited adjustment movement of the stationary tool part. The method includes releasing the tensioning device; inserting the stationary tool part into a tensioning device area; moving the moveable tool part towards the stationary tool part slightly before it touches the stationary tool part; moving the moveable tool part towards the stationary tool part until a pressing force between the tool parts is reached or exceeded and an alignment occurs between the tool parts; and applying tension with the tensioning device.
