摘要： A head rest of a vehicle seat may include a head support portion for supporting a head of a passenger, and a drive unit for moving the head support portion. The drive unit has a moving mechanism that is arranged and constructed to move the head support portion toward and away from the passenger head, an actuator for actuating the moving mechanism, a load detecting device that can detect a load applied to the actuator and generate a control signal representative of the detected load, and a controller that can control the actuator so as to control the moving mechanism The controller controls the moving mechanism so as to move the head support portion toward the passenger head. The controller controls the moving mechanism based on the control signal so as to stop the motion of the head support portion.

摘要： A head rest of a vehicle seat may include a main body having a front portion for supporting a head of a passenger and a rear portion that is attached to a head rest stay, a moving mechanism that is arranged and constructed to move the main body or the front portion vertically and to move the front portion back and forth, and a control device that is arranged and constructed to control motions of the moving mechanism. The moving mechanism includes a first moving mechanism for upwardly moving the main body or the front portion and a second moving mechanism for forwardly moving the front portion. The control device controls the motions of the moving mechanism based upon a detection signal that is generated when a vehicle collision is predicted or sensed, so that the second moving mechanism is actuated after the first moving mechanism is actuated.

The vehicle seat includes a sheet-like sensor member, a sheet-like electric device, and a seat main body configuring a sitting portion and including therein the sensor member and the electric device while overlapping each other. The electric device is provided between a pad member which forms a cushion element of the seat main body and a skin cover which covers an outer surface side of the pad member, and the sensor member is provided between the electric device and the skin cover. The electric device is formed with a through hole, so that a measuring circuit unit which is wired and connected to the sensor member is provided in an inner surface side of the electric device, and the measuring circuit unit is accommodated in a recessed portion formed in the pad member.

摘要： A head rest device that improves reliability of detecting a head on the basis of a change in capacitance without complicating a wiring structure. A head rest device is provided with a head rest rear portion configured to be supported to a seat back, and a head rest front portion freely moving forward and backward between a fully-closed position coming close to the head rest rear portion and a fully-open position separated from the head rest rear portion. The head rest front portion is moved by an actuator. The head rest front portion has a sensor electrode structured such that its capacitance is changed as a head of an occupant approaches, and an ECU controlling the actuator so as to move the head rest front portion and detecting the approach of the head of the occupant on the basis of a change of the capacitance of the sensor electrode thereon.

摘要： Seat lifting devices disposed between a seat support for supporting a seat cushion and a seat mount for mounting the seat support are taught that comprise a front and rear linking mechanisms movably interconnecting the seat support and the seat mount. These linking mechanisms are arranged and constructed to vertically adjust the seat cushion when operated. The rear linking mechanism comprises a first linking arm that is pivotally connected to the seat mount and the seat support, and a second linking arm that is pivotally connected to the seat support. The second linking arm is provided with a rear slide pin that slidably engages a rear guide slot formed in the seat mount. The rear slide pin is arranged and constructed to engage a plurality of teeth formed in the rear guide slot when a large force is applied to the seat support in a direction to separate the seat support from the seat mount.
