    摘要: A lens drive mechanism includes a rotatable lead screw driven to rotate about an axis thereof, the axis extending parallel to an optical axis of a lens group; a non-rotatable guide shaft which extends parallel to the rotatable lead screw; a nut member made of synthetic resin which includes a screw engaging portion, with which the rotatable lead screw is screw-engaged, and a rotation-prevention portion, which is engaged with the non-rotatable guide shaft to prevent the nut member from rotating about the rotatable lead screw; and a lens support frame which supports the lens group and is movable together with the nut member in an optical axis direction. The rotation-prevention portion of the nut member includes a pair of holding portions which are formed integral with the nut member so as to resiliently contact the non-rotatable guide shaft.

    摘要: A lens barrel includes a holder holding an image pick-up device; a stationary barrel having a female helicoid; a gear/helicoid ring including an annular rib, a male helicoid formed on the annular rib and engaged with the female helicoid, and a spur gear formed on the male helicoid; a pinion engaged with the spur gear; a linear guide ring provided around the gear/helicoid ring; a outer circumferential groove formed on the gear/helicoid ring; and bayonet lugs projecting rearwards from the linear guide ring and engaging in the circumferential groove. Rotation of the gear/helicoid ring causes a lens group to move along the optical axis. At least a portion of a rear end of the male helicoid extends rearwards. At least a portion of the rear extension portion overlaps the holder in the optical axis direction when the gear/helicoid ring stops retracting at a predetermined position.

    摘要: A magneto-optical disk drive incorporates: a structure to mount a front panel to a frame using a cartridge loading system, using a set of linearly movable control cam plates, to draw a cartridge into a cartridge holder and then to move the cartridge holder to an operating position; a timing control system for the cartridge loading system, which includes a unitary encoder cam gear including a drive gear portion to move the cam plates to lift and lower the cartridge holder, a cam groove portion to draw a cartridge into the cartridge holder, and timing encoders portions to interrupt photo sensors; a shutter mechanism to fully close a cartridge slot with a shutter, both when the drive holds a cartridge and when empty; a magnetic head vertical positioning system to position a magnetic head base against fixed reference surfaces below and a set of resilient members above; a magnetic head horizontal positioning system to first fix the magnetic head base to rotate horizontally about a point, and then to resiliently hold the base from rotating against a rigid member; a magnetic head carriage lock mechanism to hold a magnetic head carriage in its outermost radial position; and a control system for quickly synchronizing magnetic head movement and optical head movement by first moving both heads to an outermost radial position.

A magnetic head carriage moves a magnetic head between a standby position and a head application position. An optical head carriage supports an optical head to read at least identification tracks of a magneto-optical disk. A synchronizing device synchronizes linear positions of the magnetic head carriage and the optical head carriage, such that the magnetic head carriage is proximate an outermost position of the magnetic head carriage and the optical head carriage is proximate an outermost position of the optical head carriage when the synchronizing device synchronizes the linear positions of the magnetic head carriage and the optical head carriage.

    摘要: A magneto-optical disk drive system, utilizing a magnetic field modulation recording method, has a disk cartridge for housing a magneto-optical disk therein and insertable into a system housing and a magnetic head in the system housing for writing information on the magneto-optical disk held in the disk cartridge. The disk cartridge is guided by cam grooves and cam pins for movement between a first unloading position and a first loading position when inserted in the system housing. The magnetic head is guided by cam grooves and cam pins for movement between a second unloading position remote from the disk cartridge and a second loading position close to the disk cartridge. The magnetic head is normally urged to move from the second loading position toward the second unloading position under the bias of a tension spring. A lock arm is attracted by an electromagnet to lock the magnetic head in the second loading position when the main power supply of the magneto-optical disk drive system is turned on. When the electromagnet is de-energized, the lock arm is released, unlocking the magnetic head to move from the second loading position toward the second unloading position toward the second unloading position under the bias of the tension spring.

Each of the light receiving surfaces are split into at least four light receiving areas. The signal detecting apparatus also includes a means for calculating a sum of differences of outputs of the light receiving surfaces' inner light receiving areas, calculating a sum of differences of outputs of the light receiving surfaces' outer light receiving areas, and then calculating a difference of the sums of differences, so that a track error signal is output in accordance with the difference of sums of differences calculated by the calculating means.
