摘要: A zoom lens is constructed with, in order from an object side to an image side, a first lens unit of negative optical power, the first lens unit including a negative meniscus lens having a concave surface facing the image side and a positive meniscus lens having a convex surface facing the object side, a second lens unit of positive optical power, the second lens unit including a cemented lens of positive optical power as a whole disposed on the most image side of the second lens unit, and a lens having a concave surface facing the image side and adjoining a surface on the object side of the cemented lens, and a third lens unit of positive optical power, wherein a separation between the first lens unit and the second lens unit and a separation between the second lens unit and the third lens unit are varied to effect variation of magnification.

摘要: An imaging optical system has a variable magnification optical system. The variable magnification optical system includes, in order from the object side, a first lens unit with positive refractive power, a second lens unit with positive refractive power, a third lens unit with negative refractive power, a fourth lens unit with positive refractive power, and an aperture stop interposed between the third lens unit and the fourth lens unit. The variable magnification optical system changes an imaging magnification while keeping an object-to-image distance constant. The imaging magnification is changed by varying spacing between the first lens unit and the second lens unit, spacing between the second lens unit and the third lens unit, and spacing between the third lens unit and the fourth lens unit. When the imaging magnification is changed, the imaging optical system satisfies the following conditions in at least one variable magnification state: |En|/L>0.4 |Ex|/|L/&bgr;|>0.4 where En is a distance from a first lens surface on the object side of the variable magnification optical system to the entrance pupil of the imaging optical system, L is the object-to-image distance of the imaging optical system, Ex is a distance from the most image-side lens surface of the variable magnification optical system to the exit pupil of the imaging optical system, and &bgr; is the magnification of the entire system of the imaging optical system.

摘要: The invention provides a zoom lens system which has a zoom ratio of about 3, a wide field angle on the wide-angle end and a small F-number and enables satisfactory image-formation capability to be obtained. The zoom lens system comprises a first lens group G1 having negative power, an aperture stop, a second lens group G2 having positive power and a third lens group G3 having positive power. For zooming, the first and second lens groups G1 and G2 move on the optical axis with a varying spacing between adjacent lens groups while the third lens group G3 remains fixed. During zooming, the stop moves in unison with the second lens group. The first lens group consists of a negative, a negative and a positive lens and the third lens group consists of one lens. The first lens group further comprises a lens having an aspherical surface satisfying condition (1), and the third lens group further comprises a lens having an aspherical surface satisfying condition (2).

摘要: A wide-angle zoom lens is disclosed having only two lens groups, of negative and positive refractive power in order from the object side, respectively, and which provides an image angle at the wide-angle end of at least 100°. Zooming is performed by moving the first lens group and the second lens group along the optical axis. The first lens group is formed of, in sequential order from the object side, a negative meniscus lens element with its convex surface on the object side, two negative lens elements, and a positive lens element. The second lens group is formed of, in sequential order from the object side, two positive lens elements, a biconcave lens element, and two positive lens elements. Various conditions are preferably satisfied so as to minimize aberrations and make the zoom lens compact and easy to manufacture.

摘要: The invention provides a zoom lens that comprises a reduced number of lens elements, is compact and simplified, and has high image-formation capability, thereby achieving thorough size reductions in video cameras or digital cameras, and an electronic imaging system using the same. The zoom lens comprises a first lens group G1 of negative refracting power, a second lens group G2 of positive refracting power and a third lens group G3 of positive refracting power. Upon zooming from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end of the zoom lens, the second lens group G2 moves toward the object side alone of the zoom lens, and the third lens group G3 moves while the spacing between the third lens group G3 and the second lens group G2 varies. The second lens group G2 is composed of a front subgroup and a rear subgroup. The front subgroup is composed of a doublet component consisting of, in order from its object side, a positive lens element having an aspheric surface and a negative lens element, and the rear subgroup is composed of one positive lens component. The third lens group G3 then satisfies condition (1) with respect to the axial radii of curvature of the surfaces located nearest to the object and image sides of the third lens group G3.

摘要: An electronic picture taking apparatus comprises a zoom lens system and an image pickup device. The zoom lens system has a type of movement suitable for stable, high performance in the range from infinite to near distance and having a reduced thickness. The zoom lens system comprises at least four lens units. A foremost first lens unit on the object side of said zoom lens system has a negative refractive power. Each of three consecutive lens units has variable space on the image side thereof between an adjacent lens unit for performing a zooming operation. A rearmost lens unit of the zoom lens system consists of a single positive lens element having an aspherical surface and being fixed during the zooming operation. The zoom lens system includes an aperture stop moving incorporated with the second lens unit which is adjacent to the first lens unit.
