摘要: An evaporative fuel control system able to control an air-fuel ratio of an engine to be a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio while a purge of evaporative fuel is executed The system comprises a microcomputer for computing a target flow amount of evaporative fuel gas to be purged into an intake line via a solenoid valve in accordance with signals from a volume detecting sensor, a fuel temperature detecting sensor, and an air flow detecting sensor; the micro computer also serving for computing a fuel vapor amount contained in the target flow amount. An air flow amount contained in the target flow amount of evaporative fuel gas purged into the intake line is computed by the microcomputer in accordance with the fuel vapor amount therein. A correction amount of fuel to be injected into the intake line is controlled so as to obtain a stoichiometric air-fuel ratio in various conditions of the engine.

摘要: A sealing valve 28 that controls a communication state between a fuel tank 10 and a canister 26 is provided. During stop of an internal combustion engine, the sealing valve 28 is generally closed, and the canister 26 is opened to the atmosphere. The sealing valve 28 is opened when the internal combustion engine is stopped, and differential pressure exceeding a valve opening determination value is generated between tank internal pressure and atmospheric pressure. A change in the tank internal pressure generated between before and after the sealing valve 28 is opened is detected. When the change in the tank internal pressure is below a predetermined determination value, closing failure of the sealing valve is determined.

摘要: A fuel vapor handling apparatus supplies a purging air to a canister by using a purge pump and purges fuel desorbed from the canister into an intake pipe. A controller intermittently operates the purge so that the canister internal temperature recovers from a reduced level caused by the latent heat of vaporization of fuel during an operating period of the purge pump. Therefore, desorption of fuel from the canister during an operating period is facilitated. Since the actual operating time of the purge pump is reduced, the life of a motor that is a power unit of the purge pump becomes longer.

The fuel vapor preventing means introduces fuel vapor which appears over a surface of liquid fuel into a vapor draining pipe.

摘要: A sealing valve is installed between a fuel tank and a canister. A purge VSV is installed between the canister and an intake path. A pump module unit is installed to introduce a negative pressure into the canister. The negative pressure is introduced into the canister while the purge VSV and sealing valve are closed. An open failure diagnostic check is conducted on the sealing valve in accordance with the prevalent canister side pressure. A close failure diagnostic check is conducted on the sealing valve by making use of a differential pressure that is generated across the sealing valve as a result of the open failure diagnostic check.
