The printer also includes a press roller pressed to the fixing roller via the endless belt and the recording medium, and a coil core being operable to produce magnetic fields so as to cause both of the heating roller and the endless belt to generate heat with the magnetic metals contained therein.

摘要： The fixing device includes a heating roller made of magnetic metal and heated by electromagnetic induction; a fixing roller disposed parallel to the heating roller; an endless toner heating medium belt bridged across the heating roller and the fixing roller, and a press roller pressed to the fixing roller via the toner heating medium. The press roller rotates in the same direction as the toner heating medium belt to form a fixing nip region, and the belt is heated by the heating roller and rotated by the two rollers. The construction of the present invention achieves stable temperature control of the toner heating medium, and provides a stable fixing quality of the toner image.

摘要： Address search method for use in a disk player repeatedly performing a track jump operation for jumping over a plurality of recording tracks at one time. The present method changes to a jump state from a locking state in which a tracking servo system of the disk player is locked so that an information reading light spot of a pickup of the disk player follows a recording track. Subsequently, a present address obtained from read output of the pickup is compared with a target address and the tracking servo system is placed in the locking state. The preceding steps for comparing the addresses are repeated until the target address is exceeded by the present address.

摘要： An image heating device is provided with reduced cost, by which a difference in glossiness among printed images on recording media is eliminated, and the wrapping of a belt and the like at a high temperature is prevented. In the image heating device, a controller estimates a temperature of a pressure roller according to at least one of a temperature of a belt detected by a temperature sensor and a variation with time in the detected temperature from completion of the heating after application of an electric power to the magnetization coil by an exciting circuit is stopped and the heating of the belt by the heating roller is stopped, so as to determine a set temperature for the belt in a subsequent image heating period.

摘要： A disk drive device in which emergency unloading at the start of the engine is prevented, a head may have a prolonged life and improved reliability as an HDD is achieved. A disk drive device is driven or the movement of a magnetic head is allowed after an engine start in a vehicle is detected by an engine start detecting part, so that emergency unloading can be prevented at the start of the engine. In order to detect the engine start, voltage values on four power supply lines for a vehicle power supply device are monitored or the outputs of various sensors such as a tachometer, a vibration detection sensor, an engine sound detection sensor, a vehicle speed pulse, a gyro sensor and a parking brake are monitored. In another embodiment, the number of emergency unloading occurrence at the start of the engine is reduced, which allows the head to have a prolonged life, so that the disk drive device has improved reliability as an HDD. The voltage values on two power supply lines, first and second power supply lines for a vehicle power supply device are monitored. The magnetic head is allowed to move when the voltage values on the first and second power supply lines attain a prescribed value after a prescribed time period after the voltage value on the first power supply line attains prescribed value.

摘要： An auger type ice-making machine of the present invention comprises an ice-making cylinder which accommodates an auger rotatably in the interior thereof, an ice compression head which supports the upper end portion of the auger rotatably, and which is disposed in the upper portion of the ice-making cylinder, and a cast-in heater which is attached to the outer peripheral surface of an accommodating portion for the ice compression head of the ice-making cylinder. According to the present invention, the use of a cast-in heater enables heat to be reliably transmitted to the ice compression head, whereby the compressed ice can be melted and ice can be discharged smoothly.

摘要： A fixing device is formed by using a heat generating roller having magnetism and electric conductive characteristics and a magnetizing coil opposed to the outer peripheral of the heat generating roller and generating heat on the heat generating roller by an electromagnetic induction. The magnetizing coil is formed in such a manner that 60 copper wires whose surfaces are insulated and have the outside diameter of 0.2 mm are bundled to form a bundle of wires and the bundle of wires is drawn in the direction of rotation axis of the heat generating roller and wound in the direction of a circumference of the heat generating roller. Further, the magnetizing coil is disposed so that the bundles of wires mutually come into close contact along the circumference of the heat generating roller to cover the upper half of the heat generating roller.

摘要： An information read/write apparatus which can determine the condition under which defragmentation can be performed without causing the storage medium to be affected by running or mechanical vibration of the mobile body. The information read/write apparatus reads and records information on an information storage medium, mounted on a mobile body and allowing information to be read and recorded thereon. The apparatus comprises detection means for detecting that the mobile body is at a standstill. The apparatus also comprises control means for controlling reading and recording of information to relocate information stored on the information storage medium from one to another different position on the information storage medium while the mobile body is being detected to be at a standstill in accordance with output of the detection means.
