An adaptive mixing section performs a mixing process on input signals on the basis of distortion factor information supplied from a distortion factor detection section, and controls the operation time of MS stereo coding or IS stereo coding. Furthermore, the adaptive mixing section creates power correction information in accordance with a mixing coefficient, and causes power correction to be performed during reproduction. A coding control section selects a coding method of a coding process performed in a coding section and supplies it to the coding section. The coding section selects dual coding, MS stereo coding, or IS stereo coding in accordance with the instructions from the coding control section, and codes a spectrum signal supplied from a domain conversion section.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a signal processing apparatus and method, a program, and a data recording medium configured such that the playback level of an audio signal can be easily and effectively enhanced without requiring prior analysis.An analyzer 21 generates mapping control information in the form of the root mean square of samples in a given segment of a supplied audio signal. A mapping processor 22 takes a nonlinear function determined by the mapping control information taken as a mapping function, and conducts amplitude conversion on a supplied audio signal using the mapping function. In this way, by conducting amplitude conversion of an audio signal using a nonlinear function that changes according to the characteristics in respective segments of an audio signal, the playback level of an audio signal can be easily and effectively enhanced without requiring prior analysis. The present invention may be applied to portable playback apparatus.

    摘要: The MIDI reproducing block has such a sound source as a synthesizer and synthesizes and reproduces electronic sounds sequentially according to entered MIDI playing information, thereby generating MIDI sound signals of an accompaniment music. Generated MIDI sound signals are supplied to the mixer. The audio reproducing block reproduces audio sound signals according to entered audio information. Generated audio sound signals are supplied to the mixer. The tempo change time setting block sets a tempo change time in entered tempo change information. Tempo change information in which a tempo change time is set is supplied to both MIDI reproducing block and audio reproducing block. The mixer mixes supplied MIDI sound signals with audio sound signals, thereby generating reproduction signals, then outputs the signals after the sound volume is adjusted. Generated reproduction signals are then supplied to the speaker. The speaker then outputs supplied reproduction signals as sounds. Thus, MIDI sound signals are synchronized with audio sound signals accurately such way when in reproducing.
