    Abstract: A video decoding technique includes parsing a bitstream to determine a quantization parameter (QP) for a luma component of a region from a data unit of a parameter set included in the bitstream, determining a flag from the data unit of the parameter set, determining, in a case that the flag is equal to a first value, a QP for a chroma component of the region as a first function of the QP for the luma component and a default chroma delta QP indicated by the flag, determining, in a case that the flag is equal to a second value, the QP for the chroma component of the region by (a) obtaining a delta chroma QP from the data unit, and (b) determining the QP for the chroma component as a second function of the QP for the luma component and the delta chroma QP.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for providing consistent immersive media viewing experiences to user while reducing bandwidth consumption are disclosed. In one example aspect, a method for processing multimedia content includes determining, for a conversion between a frame of panoramic media content comprising multiple segments and a bitstream representation of the frame of panoramic media content, multiple sets of rank information associated with the frame. Each set of the rank information indicates a priority level for processing a segment of the frame of panoramic media content. The method also includes performing the conversion based on the multiple sets of rank information.

    Abstract: Provided are methods and devices for encoding and decoding using parameter sets, and electronic equipment. In the method for encoding, an encoder determines parameter sets and/or virtual parameter sets for a slice, wherein the virtual parameter set is a data structure which is generated by loading information acquired from a bitstream into a syntax structure of an existing parameter set and/or a preset syntax structure and includes tool parameters and/or control parameters; and the encoder writes identification number (ID) (s) of the parameter sets and/or virtual parameter sets into a bitstream. Using the method, encoding and decoding efficiency is improved.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for coding and decoding depth information, and the method includes: data in original Depth Look-up Tables (DLTs) of selected views are combined to establish a unified DLT, a value of the number of elements in the unified DLT and each element in the unified DLT are coded respectively and a coded value and each coded element are transmitted to a decoder; and depth information of each view is coded by taking the unified DLT as a whole or in portions and coded depth information of each view is transmitted to the decoder. Further disclosed are a system and device for coding and decoding depth information; by means of the disclosure, it is possible to reduce redundancy of coding information and improve coding and decoding efficiency.

    Abstract: Disclosed are an image encoding and decoding method, image processing device, and computer storage medium, comprising: when using one of a palette and a pixel-string encoding replication means to replicate the encoding of a currently encoded block, generating a new palette color according to the pixels of said currently encoded block; according to said new palette color and/or palette color candidate set shared by the palette and the pixel-string encoding replication means, generating the palette of said current encoded block; using said palette to replicate the encoding of the palette and the pixel string, and generate a video code stream comprising the replication means and replication parameters. The video code stream is parsed, and at least one of the following information is obtained: the replication means, replication parameters, and new palette color of the palette and pixel-string decoding replication; according to said new palette color and/or palette color candidate set shared by the palette and the pixel-string decoding replication means, generating a palette; using said palette to replicate the decoding of the palette and the pixel string.
