摘要: A method of encoding a current picture includes based on a first determination indicating that the padding is not applied, encoding the plurality of sub-regions without padding; based on the first determination indicating that the padding is applied, making a second determination that the padding comprises wrap-around padding; based on the second determination indicating that the padding does not comprise wrap-around padding, applying repetition padding to the plurality of sub-regions; based on the second determination indicating that the padding comprises the wrap-around padding, obtaining an offset value from the picture partitioning information and encoding the plurality of sub-regions based on the wrap-around padding and the offset value; generating picture partitioning information based on the first determination and the second determination; and encoding the current picture based on the encoded plurality of sub-regions and the picture partitioning information.

摘要: Described is picture segmentation through columns and slices in video encoding and decoding. A video picture is divided into a plurality of columns, each column covering only a part of the video picture in a horizontal dimension. All coded tree blocks (“CTBs”) belonging to a slice may belong to one or more columns. The columns may be used to break the same or different prediction or in-loop filtering mechanisms of the video coding, and the CTB scan order used for encoding and/or decoding may be local to a column. Column widths may be indicated in a parameter set and/or may be adjusted at the slice level. At the decoder, column width may be parsed from the bitstream, and slice decoding may occur in one or more columns.

摘要: A decoder includes an entropy decoder configured to derive a number of bins of the binarizations from the data stream using binary entropy decoding by selecting a context among different contexts and updating probability states associated with the different contexts, dependent on previously decoded portions of the data stream; a desymbolizer configured to debinarize the binarizations of the syntax elements to obtain integer values of the syntax elements; a reconstructor configured to reconstruct the video based on the integer values of the syntax elements using a quantization parameter, wherein the entropy decoder is configured to distinguish between 126 probability states and to initialize the probability states associated with the different contexts according to a linear equation of the quantization parameter, wherein the entropy decoder is configured to, for each of the different contexts, derive a slope and an offset of the linear equation from first and second four bit parts of a respective 8 bit initialization value.

摘要: A device may encode a first set of pictures of the video data to generate first encoded video data; generate first error correction data based on the first encoded video data; transmit the first error correction data and the first encoded video data to a receiving device; receive, from the receiving device, a decimation pattern indication that indicates a decimation pattern determined based on the first set of pictures, the decimation pattern being a pattern of encoded video data non-transmission; encode a second set of pictures of the video data to generate second encoded video data; generate second error correction data based on the second encoded video data; apply the decimation pattern to the second encoded video data to generate decimated video data; and transmit the second error correction data and the decimated video data to the receiving device.

摘要: An example device for binarizing video data includes a memory configured to store video data; and one or more processors implemented in circuitry and configured to: calculate a local sum of absolute values (locSumAbs value) of neighboring coefficients to a current coefficient of a current block of video data; derive a shift value from the locSumAbs value; normalize the locSumAbs value using the shift value; determine a Rice parameter using the normalized locSumAbs value; and binarize or inverse binarize the current coefficient using the Rice parameter. In this manner, these techniques may allow for more appropriate Rice parameter value selection when binarizing high bitdepth data in conjunction with performing context-adaptive binary arithmetic coding (CABAC).

摘要: Techniques for signaling of sample adaptive offset (SAO) information that may reduce the coding rate for signaling such information in the compressed bit stream are provided. More specifically, techniques are provided that allow SAO information common to two or more of the color components to be signaled using one or more syntax elements (flags or indicators) representative of the common information. These techniques reduce the need to signal SAO information separately for each color component.

摘要: A decoder receives a bitstream containing quantized coefficients representative of blocks of video representative of a plurality of pixels and decodes the bitstream using context adaptive binary arithmetic coding. The context adaptive binary arithmetic coding decodes the current syntax element using the first mode if the current syntax element is intra-coded and selecting between a first set of probable modes and a second set of probable modes, where the first set of probable modes are more likely than the second set of probable modes. The context adaptive binary arithmetic coding decodes the current syntax element using the second mode if the current syntax element is intra-coded and if selecting among one of the second set of probable modes.

摘要: An encoder includes circuitry and memory. In both of a first type of residual coding where an orthogonal transform is applied to a current block and a second type of residual coding where the orthogonal transform is skipped, wherein when a number of CABAC processes is within an allowable range, the circuitry encodes coefficient information flags by CABAC, each of the coefficient information flags relating to a coefficient included in the current block; and otherwise, the circuitry skips the encoding of the coefficient information flags; and the circuitry encodes a remainder value of the coefficient with Golomb-Rice code when the coefficient information flags are encoded; and the circuitry encodes a value of the coefficient with the Golomb-Rice code when the plurality of coefficient information flags are not encoded, wherein the coefficient information flags are partially different between the first type of residual coding and the second type of residual coding.
