    Abstract: Systems and methods for image generation for social media contact engagement are provided. In example embodiments, a publication that represents an item available for purchase is identified. Item data, including an item image, for the publication is access. A plurality of images are generated for the publication using the item data. A cycling assembly of images comprising a portion of the plurality of images is assembled. The cycling assembly of images is assigned to an entity profile, corresponding to an entity associated with the publication, of a social networking service. The assignment of the cycling assembly of images causes the cycling assembly of images to be displayed to members of the social networking service in place of a member profile image.

    Abstract: An experimentation platform controls testing of features by an application server. Based on a user identifier, the experimentation platform determines which feature should be provided, and the application server provides the corresponding version of a user interface. If the user behavior data shows that using a tested feature results in an improvement, the tested feature will be adopted. To determine whether or not an improvement is observed, a statistically significant amount of data is gathered. The experimentation platform gathers data regarding user behavior for the feature versions and, in response, adjusts the frequency at which each version is served. Providing the proposed version to an increased percentage of users decreases the total number of page serves required to gather statistically significant data. The experimentation platform may provide an updated projected time to completion of testing based on the changed percentage of users receiving the proposed version.

    Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for generating item recommendations based on sensor data captured by sensors on client machines. A server processes collected sensor data to estimate user physical activity based on sensor data patterns, and forms a user profile based on the estimated user physical activity. The server associates the user profile with relevant product or service recommendations, based on previous purchases by a user or by others matching the user profile. The user may make a purchase based on the displayed recommendations or forward the recommendations to others. The recommendations include discounts based on the user profile. Subsequent sensor data showing satisfaction with a purchased item serves as a testimonial to user satisfaction with the item. The sensor data may be collected from a user in an augmented or virtual reality system, and the recommendations may be displayed in such a system.
