摘要： A child-resistant dispensing closure consisting of a one-piece molding of resilient material that comprises an inverted cup-shaped cap having a central dispensing opening and a saucer shaped lid that is integrally hinged to the cap at one edge thereof for movement to and from an inverted, closing position closely overlying the cap. The lid has an element which closes the dispensing opening and engages in telescoping relationship therewith. The cap and lid have overlapping catch means for retaining the lid in closing position. The hinge is double acting and provides not only for angular movement to and from the closing position but also for lateral movement of the lid relative to the cap against the resilience of the engaged element and opening for disengaging the catch means. In a preferred embodiment, the dispensing opening is in the upper end of a nozzle which is an integral part of the cap and the closing element is on the underside of the lid, so that it engages the upper end of the nozzle and closes the nozzle opening.

摘要： A twist-to-open dispensing closure has a cap which threads directly onto the container neck. A bead at the bottom of the cap skirt snaps over a flange on the container neck for primary retention of the cap on the container neck. An upwardly projecting lug on the cap bead cooperates with a pair of axially extending walls on the container flange to give the user, while unthreading the cap, a sense of approaching the open, dispensing position of the closure and the cap locks in this dispensing position against further rotation, preventing accidental removal of the cap by snapping the cap bead over the container neck flange.

摘要： A threaded one piece closure having a tamper indicating band attached to the lower end of a cap skirt by frangible bridges which fracture upon the initial opening of the closure leaving the detached band on the container indicating the initial opening or tampering. The bottom of the tamper indicating band is formed with a plurality of equally spaced stop segments attached by flexible webs. The tamper indicating band is also formed with a plurality of rectangular windows in line with the stop segments. The flexible webs permit the swinging of the stop segments into an operative position engaged within the windows so that they will coact with a flange or ratchet teeth on the container to provide a means for fracturing the frangible bridges upon unthreading of the cap.
