The locking arrangement includes a locking projection fixed to the main housing, a catch member movably connected with the connector housing, and an actuating member for displacing the catch member between locked and unlocked positions relative to the locking projection.

摘要： A testing arrangement for testing the electrical circuits of a terminal block assembly, comprising a generally rectangular testing unit housing formed of insulating material and containing a chamber, at least one connection device mounted in chamber and having an elongated connector body formed of insulating material and including center and end portions. An integral measuring tab portion extends downwardly from the body center portion for insertion into a testing opening contained in the terminal block assembly, and a pair of coplanar measurement portions extend upwardly from the connector body ends and terminating at different elevations, thereby to afford a compact testing arrangement. Two electrical circuit connecting portions are mounted on the connector body, each including an input conductive contact plate mounted on one side of said measuring tab portion, and an output contact mounted within one of said measurement portions for connection with one end of a testing component.

摘要： A plug and jack electrical connector arrangement for connecting together the conductors of a pair of cables, comprising a connector housing containing an open-ended chamber, a plurality of contacts adapted for connection with the bare ends of the conductors, and a contact mounting unit for mounting the contacts in the connector housing chamber, which mounting unit includes a contact support member containing a plurality of parallel longitudinal passages, a contact holder member arranged to retain the contacts relative to the contact support member, and a connecting arrangement connecting together the contact support and contact holder members. In one embodiment, the contact hold member contains a plurality of bores in alignment with the contact support member passages. In a second embodiment, the contact holder member contains a through passage for receiving the contact support member, thereby to retain certain contacts in external grooves contained in the support member.

摘要： An electrical connector for connecting to a bus bar the bare end of an insulated conductor, including a rectangular housing containing an open-topped chamber, a conductive L-shaped bus bar arranged in the chamber with a vertical leg thereof extending adjacent one housing end wall, a generally planar clamping bar having a first end portion pivotally connected with the housing adjacent another end wall thereof for pivotal movement about a horizontal pivot axis, and a spring arranged in the housing chamber for biasing the clamping bar upwardly in the housing, whereby when the conductor bare end is inserted downwardly into the housing, the free edge of the clamping bar clamps the conductor bare end into contiguous engagement with the bus bar vertical leg portion. The spring is preferably a leaf spring having a Z-shaped or U-shaped configuration.

When the contact arrangement is in the form of a pair of leaf spring contacts connected in a V-shaped manner, an adjusting device is provided for adjusting the space between the adjacent ends of the contacts.

摘要： An identification device adapted for attachment to an insulated electrical conductor includes a pair of generally-rectangular marking plates having planar first longitudinal horizontal surfaces. A plurality of laterally-spaced resilient tension members connect together corresponding side portions of the marking plates, thereby to bias the marking plates toward a normally closed condition in which the marking plate first surfaces are in contiguous engagement. The marking plates are separable against the biasing force of the tension members toward an open condition for receiving longitudinally between the plates and the tension members the free end of a conductor. Upon release, the marking plates are displaced toward a clamping condition in parallel spaced longitudinally-arranged contiguous engagement with diametrically opposed circumferential surfaces of the conductor. The marking plates are pivoted to the open condition about a pivot axis defined by chamfered end surfaces of the plates.

Vertical side members having generally U-shaped horizontal cross-sectional configurations are mounted on the outwardly extending edge portions of the printed circuit board, respectively, with the leg portions of each side member extending between the housing side walls and the printed circuit board, respectively, whereby portions of housing side walls overlap the side member leg portions. The upper end of the chamber is closed by a lid member that is fastened between the upper ends of the side members.
