    摘要： There is described a printing apparatus, particularly a label printer, which includes a switching mechanism operable in response to movement of the lid to permit operation of the printing apparatus only when the lid is closed. This can be combined with detection of the presence or absence of a cassette in a cassette receiving bay of the apparatus so that operation of the printing apparatus is permitted only in the presence of a cassette and with the lid in the closed position.

Another embodiment discloses an impact sensor utilizing a vibration sensitive reed having a magnet thereon movable within a coil for creating an electromotive force for producing a signal which is amplified by amplifier circuitry, detected, and utilized to actuate timing circuitry and an on-off switch which is connected to a power supply.

    摘要： A liquid discharge apparatus includes a holder, a pre-treatment head, a smoother, and a print head. The holder reciprocally moves while holding a recording medium. The pre-treatment head discharges a pre-treatment liquid onto a surface of the recording medium held by the holder. The smoother smooths the pre-treatment liquid, which is discharged onto the surface of the recording medium, along the surface of the recording medium by a movement of the holder. The print head discharges a printing liquid onto the surface of the recording medium with the pre-treatment liquid smoothed.
