An automatic document feeder and a media record equipment using the same are provided. The automatic document feeder includes a frame, a cover and a gear chain. An end of the cover pivoted to the frame has a cam. The gear chain disposed in the frame has multiple driven gears and a rotating unit. The driven gears engaged with each other rotate about a first axial direction. The rotating unit having a first rock arm contacting the cam and a second rock arm with one of the driven gears disposed thereon is capable of rotating about the first axial direction. The cam pushes the first rock arm to drive the rotating unit to rotate about the first axial direction, and then an engagement between the driven gear on the second rock arm is released by departing from another driven gear engaged therewith when the cover opens relative to the frame.
Abstract:
A sheet conveying device includes: a main body; a cover; a first roller; and a second roller. The main body defines a conveying passage along which a sheet is conveyed. The cover is supported to the main body and movable between a closed position in which the cover covers the main body from above and an open position in which the cover is moved upward from the main body so as to be spaced away from the main body. The first roller is rotatably supported to the cover and configured to discharge the sheet from the conveying passage to an outside of the main body. The second roller is rotatably supported to the main body and disposed in confrontation with the first roller while interposing the conveying passage between the first roller and the second roller when the cover is at the closed position.
Abstract:
A medium supplying apparatus for applying a back tension opposite to a transferring direction of a rolled medium being transferred by a transfer unit, to the rolled medium, includes a driving unit including a drive gear to be rotated in a forward direction and a reverse direction; a rotation transmitting mechanism that includes a one-way clutch and a torque limiter and transmits a rotational force between the driving unit and a medium rotation shaft that rotatably holds the rolled medium via the one-way clutch and the torque limiter; and a control unit that controls the driving unit to be one of states including being rotated in the forward direction, being rotated in the reverse direction and not being power supplied while the rolled medium is being transferred by the transfer unit to change the strength of the back tension.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A sheet pick-up device of an automatic document feeder is provided. The sheet pick-up device includes a two-way clutch transmission mechanism, a sheet pick-up arm, a stopper and a linking assembly. When the two-way clutch transmission mechanism is operated to have the sheet pick-up arm move to a standby position, the stopper is moved with the linking assembly to be in a stopping position. Whereas, when the two-way clutch transmission mechanism is operated to have the sheet pick-up arm move to a sheet pick-up position, the stopper is in a non-stopping position. The sheet pick-up device has enhanced operating stability.
