摘要： Airbag inflator system includes an inflatable airbag, e.g., a side curtain airbag, a housing, a gas generating system arranged apart from the housing for generating gas, and a conduit leading from the gas generating system to the housing to provide gas to the housing, e.g., to a lateral end of the housing. A filter may be arranged between the gas generating system and the housing, possibly in the conduit. A nozzle may be arranged between the gas generating system and an interior of the airbag, which nozzle is varied as a function of temperature. The housing may be movably arranged relative to a fixed base and mounted to vary its relation to the base as a function of temperature, e.g., via elastic or deformable supports which support the housing on the base.

摘要： The invention has the object of increasing workability of an attachment operation of a knee airbag module of a column-mounted knee airbag device. When fixing a knee airbag module to a lower portion outer peripheral surface of a steering column, it is possible to perform the fixing from a vehicle upper side and a vehicle rear side of the steering column, using a space between an instrument panel (interior member) at a vehicle upper side of the steering column and a combination switch provided at a rear end side of the steering column. Accordingly, when performing an attachment operation of the knee airbag module to the steering column, an operator does not have to enter from a lower side of the steering column.

The column cover 16 includes a door portion 34 opened by being pressed by the air bag to be able to form a projecting opening 22 of the air bag 45 at two left ad right side faces 18b, 18c from a side of a lower face 18a. Inside of the air bag 45 is arranged with a gas flow restricting member 64 such that the expanding gas G is made to flow to a left door portion 36 and a right door portion 37 of the door portion 34 by being directed in outer directions of both left and right sides.

摘要： The knee-protecting airbag apparatus includes an airbag module and a mounting bracket for fixing the airbag module on a vehicle body. The mounting bracket is provided with a mounting hole that is adapted to be fastened to a mounting seat of the vehicle body. The airbag module includes a retaining lug for fixing the airbag module tentatively on the vehicle body. When the retaining lug is engaged with a periphery of a retaining hole of the vehicle body, a rearward rotation moment is generated to rotate the airbag module about the engaging point of the retaining lug and periphery of the retaining hole, so that a pressing plane of the airbag module formed above the retaining lug abuts on and gets supported by a receiving plane formed on the vehicle body such that the mounting hole of the mounting bracket is positioned on a fastening location of the mounting seat of the vehicle body.

摘要： Airbag inflator system includes an inflatable airbag, a flexible housing, and a gas generating system for generating gas which is directed from the housing to the interior of the airbag. The housing may be made by an extrusion process to provide it with its flexible cl of plastic. An aspirating structure or nozzle may be arranged between the gas generating system and an interior of the airbag, which nozzle is varied as a function of temperature. The aspirating structure or arrangement enables air from the passenger compartment of the vehicle to mix with the generated gas prior to being directed into the airbag.
