    摘要: A stand alone, double stack railroad well car for carrying stacked containers includes a platform suspended at each end upon swing hangers from a multiple axle truck or suspension system, utilizing leaf springs. Adjacent axles are connected by bridge beams which are pivotally connected to the leaf springs. Shear pads connected between the bridge beams and axles permit limited angular displacement of the axles relative to each other. An axle guard is provided for limiting lateral movement of the car relative to the trucks. An axle guard frame assembly is rotatably connected to the under side of the car body or platform at each end. It includes vertical axle guards which engage the axle bearing adapter housings to limit lateral movement. The rotatable connection of the axle guard frame assembly underside of the carbody to the platform permits limited rotational or pivotal movement of the axle guard frame as the suspension system negotiates a curve in the track.

    摘要: The present invention provides a variable stiffness positioning device for a railway vehicle bogie axle box. The variable stiffness positioning device includes a vertical elastomer arranged between the top face of an axle box bearing saddle and the bottom surface of a guide frame of a side fame, and a longitudinal elastomer arranged between the axle box bearing saddle and the front and back side faces of the guide frame of the side fame, the longitudinal elastomer is provided with at least one small-stiffness elastic element and a large-stiffness elastic element, and the small-stiffness elastic element is arranged in an elastomer pre-compression device and is serially arranged with the large-stiffness elastic element under the action of a pre-compression load F1. The longitudinal elastomer has a larger longitudinal compression stiffness when the longitudinal deformation displacement is very small, so that the railway vehicle can be guaranteed to have a higher snaking critical operation speed when operating on a straight line, and the acceleration operation demand of the vehicle is satisfied; when the longitudinal deformation displacement reaches a set numerical value, the longitudinal compression stiffness of the longitudinal elastomer starts to become small, so that when the railway vehicle passes by a curve, it can be guaranteed that the lateral force between wheel rails will not be too large, and thus the curve operation safety of the vehicle is guaranteed.

    摘要: This invention relates to bogies for railway rolling stock. In particular it relates to suspension arrangements for such bogies wherein the frame is mounted on a spring suspension arrangement. In one embodiment the spring suspension arrangement comprises two groups of springs on either side of a wheel axle (11), each group comprising an inner spring (14) and two outer fore and aft springs (15, 16). In another arrangement there are two lower springs (14) on either side of a wheel axle (11) and at least one upper spring (21) above the axle. The arrangements described provide better lateral and longitudinal stiffness and shear characteristics which, reduce hunting and wheel wear. They also enable the axles to accommodate increased loads.

    摘要: A suspension for a rail vehicle includes a bogie pedestal 10, an axle box 11 and suspension springs 16, 18 and 19 arranged such that the axle box supports load exerted on the pedestal via the springs. The suspension includes a pair of wedge elements 20 urged, by means of springs 18 and 19, into engagement with faces 30 of the pedestal and faces 21 of the axle box. This engagement causes damping of axle box movements. Wedge elements 20 are urged resiliently in opposing directions A and B into frictional slidable contact at the faces 21 by means of additional preset springs 40 mounted at the pedestal 11. This further urging is independent of the load carried by the springs and provides improved suspension characteristics.
