    摘要: The present invention provides a variable stiffness positioning device for a railway vehicle bogie axle box. The variable stiffness positioning device includes a vertical elastomer arranged between the top face of an axle box bearing saddle and the bottom surface of a guide frame of a side fame, and a longitudinal elastomer arranged between the axle box bearing saddle and the front and back side faces of the guide frame of the side fame, the longitudinal elastomer is provided with at least one small-stiffness elastic element and a large-stiffness elastic element, and the small-stiffness elastic element is arranged in an elastomer pre-compression device and is serially arranged with the large-stiffness elastic element under the action of a pre-compression load F1. The longitudinal elastomer has a larger longitudinal compression stiffness when the longitudinal deformation displacement is very small, so that the railway vehicle can be guaranteed to have a higher snaking critical operation speed when operating on a straight line, and the acceleration operation demand of the vehicle is satisfied; when the longitudinal deformation displacement reaches a set numerical value, the longitudinal compression stiffness of the longitudinal elastomer starts to become small, so that when the railway vehicle passes by a curve, it can be guaranteed that the lateral force between wheel rails will not be too large, and thus the curve operation safety of the vehicle is guaranteed.

In one example, a truck includes an unpowered axle spring system that is configured to generate an overall unpowered axle separation force between a truck frame and an unpowered axle carrier. The overall unpowered axle separation force has a rate of decrease that increases past a first separation distance between the truck frame and the unpowered axle carrier. A powered axle spring system is configured to generate a powered axle separation force between the truck frame and a powered axle carrier. The powered axle separation force has a rate of decrease that decreases past a second separation distance between the truck frame and the powered axle carrier.

The system also includes a first suspension assembly configured to apply to the first axle a first portion of a locomotive weight and a second suspension assembly configured to apply to the second axle a second portion of the locomotive weight different from the first portion. An amount of locomotive weight allocated from the first axle to the second axle allows modification of a baseline ballast arrangement by reducing an amount of ballast in the baseline ballast arrangement corresponding to the amount of weight allocated from the first axle to the second axle.

The present invention also provides for reducing load concentration on an interface between a pedestal roof and an axle. The present invention provides a sideframe with two pedestal roofs disposed at opposite ends of the sideframe, an axle placed under the pedestal roof, and an angled interface. The angled interface is formed between the pedestal roof and bearing adapter to reduce load concentration.

    摘要: A method of adjusting the weight distribution of a locomotive having a pair of interchangeable 3-axle asymmetrical truck assemblies comprising loading the locomotive body with its normal supply of fuel, water, etc., weighing the body, together with a pair of truck bolsters but without the other parts of the truck assemblies, to measure individually the weight at each of the four different bolster mount load points of each of the two separate bolsters, comparing the eight measured weights, respectively, with desired weights at the eight separate load points of the bolsters to determine the errors, if any, that need correction, selecting the sizes of shims that can be added at designated load points of the bolsters to reduce such errors to within specified limits based on stored data from which the influence of the added shim thicknesses on weight distribution is predicted, adding shims of the selected sizes to the designated load points, repeating the above-mentioned weighing and comparing steps, repeating the above-mentioned selecting, adding, and repeating steps unless the weight error at each load point is within the specified limits, checking the distribution, among the three axles of each truck assembly, of the truck assembly weight plus half of the locomotive body weight in a fixture that gives the truck frame a predetermined slope, adding whatever shims are needed at the spring seats of the respective axle springs of each truck assembly to obtain a desired weight distribution among the three axles thereof, securing all of the added shims in place, and placing the locomotive body on a pair of duplicate truck assemblies.
