Abstract:
An apparatus for pedaling measurement is presented. The apparatus comprises a casing arranged to be attached to a crank of a cycle. The casing comprises a signal processing circuitry configured to process a measurement signal related to pedaling. The casing further comprises a protrusion arranged to be disposed at least partially into a hole of a spindle of a pedal, wherein the protrusion provides the apparatus with a mechanic support with respect to the spindle and an electric connection between the signal processing circuitry and a measurement circuitry comprised in the spindle. Furthermore, there is provided a cycling apparatus comprising the above-mentioned apparatus.
Abstract:
A luminous pedal structure for a bicycle is mounted on a crank of a bicycle and contains a body, an electricity generating device, a shaft, and a covering member. Each limiting column of the electricity generating device fits with each magnetic element and inserts into each connecting post, and coils fit with limiting columns and contact with magnetic elements; the transmission set has a large chainring and plural small chainrings meshing with the large chainring meshes, the holders of the covering member connect with the limiting columns, the shaft and the limiting columns are rotated by picture bearings which rotate at different speeds and axes so as to drive the large chainring and the small chainrings to rotate, such that the magnetic elements are driven to rotate the coils so as to generate an induced voltage, by which the light-emitting elements generate a forward voltage to emit lights.
Abstract:
Provided is a semi-fixed type shoe-fixing shaft that includes a shaft rotatably mounted on a crank, a ratchet pawl swingably installed on the shaft, a ratchet engaging tooth fixed to the crank so as to catch the ratchet pawl, a ratchet spring fixed to the shaft so as to swing the ratchet pawl, a ratchet control lever connected to the ratchet spring and slidably installed on the shaft, and a shoe fixing hook fixed to the shaft. The shoe fixing hook and a fastener fixed to a cycling shoe are coupled. Thereby, the cycling shoe and the shaft are fixed, and a force for stretching an ankle is transmitted through the cycling shoe and the shaft as a force for rotating the crank. Muscles around a calf for moving the ankle can be used as a rotational force for the crank.
Abstract:
A restraining system is configured to secure and release a rider's footwear to a vehicle footrest in response to inputs to a control interface. The vehicle is typically a motorcycle or bicycle. In the case of a motorcycle, a rider's boot is restrained to a motorcycle foot peg by the action of a restraining device. Exemplary restraining device embodiments include an electromagnet or a mechanical latch. The control interface may be located on the motorcycle handlebar or on the rider's helmet. The rider can provide the inputs directly to the control interface. Alternatively, the inputs may be received from a wireless source.
Abstract:
A pedal adjuster which may be used with a pedal device such as a bicycle or stationary bicycle and which allows a user to tilt pedals relative to the horizontal plane in order to accommodate a foot that is everted or inverted relative to the vertical midline of the user's body. The illustrated embodiment of this invention includes an outer tube with a plurality of locking pin holes and a means for attachment to a crank arm, an inner rod housed coaxially within the outer tube and having a means for attachment to a pedal and a means for adjustably positioning the inner rod within the outer tube.
Abstract:
An anti-theft bicycle pedal is disclosed. The mounting end of the pedal is shaped with polygonal faces and/or splines to match an opening on the crank so that when the mounting end of the pedal axle is inserted into the matching opening and locked into place, the pedal cannot be removed without an unlocking agent. With an unlocking agent, the pedal is easily removed without tools. The pedal can be reversibly mounted on the crank so that the bicycle cannot be pedaled away, or so that the pedal can be stowed during transport or storage. The pedal cannot rotate in the crank as a result of polygonal faces and/or splines on the mounting end that resist rotation. A physical stop can be used to control the symmetry of insertion into the opening which facilitates reversible mounting.
Abstract:
A bicycle pedal unit comprises a central body (2) associable with a tube of a bicycle frame; two pedal cranks (3, 4) connected to opposite ends (2a) of the central body (2); two pedals (5, 6), each connected to a respective pedal crank (3, 4); the angular position of at least a movable pedal crank (3) is adjustable relative to the other pedal crank (4), which is fixed.
Abstract:
A device for disassembling and assembling bicycle pedals comprises a bicycle crank (1), detachable pedals (17) connected with the crank (1), a fixing seat (11) arranged at an end of the crank (1), a control device arranged at the fixing seat (11) and a connection assembly between a pedal (17) and the control device. The control device also comprises an unlocking mechanism, a pushing mechanism and a rotating mechanism, wherein the pushing mechanism and the rotating mechanism are controlled by a gear mechanism. The device can conveniently and quickly disassembling and assembling bicycle pedals by one step without touching the pedals with hands.
Abstract:
A pedal for use in pedal exercise equipment includes a connection shaft connected to a crank rod; a pedal body rotatively connected to the connection shaft, inclination control plates, which have hinge pin connection holes at both side end portions and are respectively inserted to the inside of an inner upper front portion, an inner upper rear portion, an inner lower front portion and an inner lower rear portion of the pedal body; hinge pins, which are provided with control bolt coupling holes in the center of outer peripheries thereof in the vertical direction, and inserted to the inside of the hinge pin connection holes of the respective inclination control plates in the to and fro direction. Control bolts are provided to control left vertical protrusion amounts and right vertical protrusion amounts of the inclination control plates.
Abstract:
