Abstract:
A bottom discharge slide gate apparatus for a conveyor. The slide gate apparatus may be selectively opened or closed, and may be pivoted downward away from the conveyor trough for cleaning thereof. The apparatus may be part of a vibratory conveyor system or retrofitted on an existing conveyor trough.
Abstract:
A powder coating apparatus and method feeds fine powdered coating material such as thermoplastic type material to a succession of discrete articles passing by the apparatus which includes a vibratory feeder bowl and a spiral track for delivering a substantially constant supply of powder coating material to the articles. A sensor is also used to regulate an amount of powdered coating material supplied to an auger to the vibratory feeder. The invention also provides a powder feed system that deposits an excess of powdered coating material than that required to form the coating and provides for recirculation of the powder not ultimately used to form the coating back to the powder feeding apparatus.

A powder coating apparatus and method feeds fine powdered coating material such as thermoplastic type material to a succession of discrete articles passing by the apparatus which includes a vibratory feeder bowl and a spiral track for delivering a substantially constant supply of powder coating material to the articles, wherein the powdered coating material is mixed with a pressurized airstream that delivers the powdered coating material to the articles. A sensor is also used to regulate an amount of powdered coating material supplied to the auger to the vibratory feeder. The invention also provides a powder feed system that deposits an excess of powdered coating material than that required to form the coating and provides for recirculation of the powder not ultimately used to form the coating back to the powder feeding apparatus.
Abstract:
An auxiliary conveying apparatus for supporting and guiding a mobile articulated conveyor between discrete elevated roadways located on first and second intersecting stationary conveyors. The apparatus includes two portable arcuate conveyor troughs that are arranged between the first and second conveyors at their point of intersection. Each conveyor section has an endless chain therein that is adapted to be driven in an orbit by a separate drive motor. Pad members are transversely attached to the endless chain and are adapted to contact and advance the mined ore from one end of the trough to the other as the endless chain is driven in an orbit. Corresponding arcuate track members are provided to interface with the support tracks located on the intersecting stationary conveyors and to guide the mobile articulated conveyor in an arcuate path above the arcuate conveyor troughs.
Abstract:
A horizontal storage silo or bin for particulate matter such as, for example, peanuts and cereal, includes a moving apron or floor and a dam for gently receiving product, controlling product deposit into the silo and supporting the rear face of the product pile during discharge to insure a uniform discharge rate throughout the discharge cycle. Full bin storage capacity is utilized. First-in, first-out processing is attained. Various alternative apparatus and methods are disclosed and various product infeed points and bin orientation are accommodated.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the feeding of baking apparatus with green pellets, for instance of iron ore, supplied by pelletizing apparatus the output of which may fluctuate. The green pellets coming from the pelletizing apparatus, optionally after screening, is fed to a movable belt conveyor discharging to a fixed belt conveyor which in turn discharges to the baking apparatus. Measuring apparatus measures the mass flow rates of the green pellets discharging from both conveyors. The movable conveyor is moved parallel to the conveying direction of the fixed conveyor at a velocity proportional to the difference between the mass flow rates so that the depth of the layer of green pellets on the fixed conveyor is approximately constant.
